Sophisticated Southern and Gourmet Country are great ways to describe the cuisine at the charming Mack & Kate"s Cafe. Named after two sisters, MacKenzie and Kathleen, our family owned and operated establishment will make you feel right at home. Started in a small, sleepy town, Mack & Kate's humbled beginnings took place in a small service station. This charming little destination dining spot grew over eight years, resulting in the Strawn Family relocating Mack & Kates to Franklin, TN. We enjoy seeing our friends from our early days and our new friends here in Franklin. We use the freshest and finest when it comes to our ingredients and always support local farmers and growers. We pride our self in our accommodating and knowledgeable service team and the ability to consistently feed our customers what they are looking for; the freshest from the best.

What a wonderful hometown surprise. At the suggestion of a friend, I made reservations for lunch after church one Sunday. What a great choice from start to finish. The service was impeccable and food outstanding. My daughter and I both enjoyed our meal and she has since been back. The restaurant is small, but well appointed. It is a great... More

My husband and I recently visited Nashville but stayed in the beautiful town of Franklin. We had Sunday brunch here and we were very impressed their "shabby chic" interior was inviting and warm and their food was interesting and delicious. We had the Crab Cake Benedict and BBQ Omelet both came with large portions and were seasoned and prepared perfectly.... More

Mack and Kate's is a family created, owned and operated cafe in the Franklin - Cool Springs area. Offering a unique menu that changes often. Great cocktails too. And don't let the setting fool you; once you enter, the decor is fabulous and makes you feel like you are in an old old cafe.

My friend and I had dinner here one Sunday evening recently. I decided to take a chance and ordered the filet with béarnaise sauce and fried egg accompanied by asparagus and fingerling potatoes. The steak was the best I have ever eaten in my life. It cut like butter and was very savory. The sides were delicious as well. I... More

This sister owned local restaurant has southern charm with an urban edge. The food is amazing and as always the service impeccable.

My daughter took me out for lunch today. Since it was Valentines Day, she wanted to take me some place other than a franchise restaurant. We Stopped at Mack and Kate's. We walked in and were seated promptly. It was decorated nicely, White table cloths, brown napkins, and all of the waiters were dressed in black, but there was not... More

Went here for Sunday dinner after a movie. Had fillet mignon with bearnaise sauce and a fried egg on top. Served with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. It was to die for! The steak cut like butter. The sauce was exquisite. Great service to boot! Will definitely be back soon!

This was not my first choice for a restaurant today. Not very busy at all and I can see why. Took almost ten minutes just to take our drink order which consisted of water and ice tea. For some reason they had run out of menus, how does that happen? When I got my water I almost gagged. There was... More

My husband and I have wanted to stop in here many times. Well we finally did and what a wonderful meal! We walked in and were a little surprised that it was as upscale as it was, more so than we were expecting. We were lucky to get one of the last tables since we did not have a reservation... More
