Description: Sophisticated Southern and Gourmet Country are great ways to describe the cuisine at the charming Mack & Kate"s Cafe. Named after two sisters, MacKenzie and Kathleen, our family owned and operated establishment will make you feel right at home. Started in a small, sleepy town, Mack & Kate's humbled beginnings took place in a small service station. This charming little destination dining spot grew over eight years, resulting in the Strawn Family relocating Mack & Kates to Franklin, TN. We enjoy seeing our friends from our early days and our new friends here in Franklin. We use the freshest and finest when it comes to our ingredients and always support local farmers and growers. We pride our self in our accommodating and knowledgeable service team and the ability to consistently feed our customers what they are looking for; the freshest from the best.

Really enjoyed the ambiance and setting. Gave us the real feel of being in Tennessee. Food was fantastic. Our group had steak & eggs, quiche, eggs benedict with crab cake and daily special. All were delicious! Even had a blueberry cobbler w/ice cream with breakfast for our table. What the heck, we're on vacation. Great experience.

Four of us had dinner at Mack & Kate's and thoroughly enjoyed it. For starters we split two plates, the Cauliflower Tots and the Fried Green Tomatoes. Hard to say which we liked best. Both were excellent. Two of us had Kate’s Bouillabaisse for a main and Wow! It was exquisite, the broth was so tasty and it was filled... More

The Eggs Benedict with fried green tomatoes was delicious. Although the service was a bit slow to start, it improved as more customers came in. The atmosphere was charming with an eclectic decorating scheme. Great sweet tea. All told, a good experience.

This little restaurant nestled in Gateway Village off Franklin Road in Brentwood/Franklin is a treat for any occasion or no special occasion. The food is excellent from an interesting menu. Quality is consistent. Service is more than good....it is fun and the South at its best! Presentation doesn't disappoint. Their summer gazpacho is the best you will ever have!

I have been eating at Mack and Kate's before it moved to Franklin, so I was eager to recommend it for New Year's Eve dinner with some friends. When we arrived, we were told that the table we had reserved was no longer available with our favorite server. Not happy, we decided to make the best of it. Our service... More

I search for great meatloaf, but I rarely find any. MacK and Kates has meatloaf on there daily menu, it is the best I have tasted, It is so good, that the governor of TN. goes there often for the meatloaf.

While in the Nashville area for the Colts and Titans game we searched for a different restaurant. Thought Mack & Kate's sounded perfect. Eight of us went and we all were so disappointed . Over $100 later (and that was with no alcohol) the fish was the "special" of the day and was no better than going to the local... More

The food was great. Had fried green tomato eggs benedict and my wife had a crab and grits thing (can't remember the name). All delicious. Service, however, was slow. We came in to a nearly empty restaurant (a little before noon) and got a table immediately. They took our drinks and came back very quickly. They brought the wrong drink... More

Two of us had dinner there on a Friday night. When we arrived, there were only 3 or 4 tables of diners. We thought oh no, we've made a mistake. How wrong we were! Delicious food, great service, quiet atmosphere. The shrimp and grits were wonderful as was the spinach and pear salad. The biscuits at the beginning were warm... More
