My wife and I stayed the night at the Dandridge Exit off I-40 in East Tennessee. It was New Year's Day, so perhaps the restaurant wasn't up to par because of that. We knew, however, we were in trouble when we were seated at the table and whipped margarine instead of sweet, creamy butter was served. The food was exceptionally... More

Generous portions. Fresh and quick. Only wish they had offered dessert as I forgot and would have loved to try the banana cream pie

We had wonderful seafood. More than we could eat. We took our leftovers home and warmed them up in the oven and they were great. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the area. This is a must stop whenever you are in the Dandridge TN area.

There aren't many seafood restaurants around this area. This restaurant gives you all the hush puppies you want and their menu is reasonable. Service is fast. Plenty of parking. Unique atmosphere. Log Cabin structure with exposed beams.

Fairly diverse seafood offerings including salmon, crab, shrimp, scallops, clams, oysters and haddock. Also freshwater fish such as tilapia and Alaskan whitefish. Large complimentary serving of hush puppies. I had a stuffed crab and clam strips. Both were good but not exceptional although the serving was very generous. My wife had popcorn shrimp which was very good and oysters which... More

"The Captain's Galley is usually where my folks and I stop to eat on our way back from visiting my sister and her family near Nashville. When we got to the restaurant, we were seated in the very far corner being that we were there on a Sunday (their busiest day). A friend of mine had highly recommended the Alaskan... More

My fish smelled and tasted raw. I love fish. Grilled, blackened, baked or fried but I will not give this place another chance. Good thing I did not pay for it. I was on a date. Felt bad for him because he lived around the area and was told it was good.

Once again I am glad to be surprised. This far from Ocean. Fresh seafood! The Mahi over mashed potato with lobster leek sauce is something that I wish you would try. My normal fried platter is ordered automatically almost every time we come in. I was not in the mood for that and ordered the chalk board special. This is... More

My family had just returned from a vacation to Savannah, GA and we had been in the car for endless upon endless hours when my grandfather remembered a restaurant that he had been to before, a place called Captain's Galley. So, he drives the car into the parking lot and we climb out to stretch our weary legs; it's freezing... More
