Good food, rookie servers

First time in the area and spotted this fine dining establishment in Crossville, next to a winery. Food was very good but the servers had no training whatsoever. While they were polite, it is hard to call this fine dining. Full bar available. Good wine to choose from but nothing out of the... read more

The atmosphere is very nice and inviting. The waiter as well was nice. The food however was basic at best. My husband and I ordered the fried mushrooms, they were breaded and came out hot, but hard and lots of coating. Basic bar mushrooms. I had the shrimp scampi. It came with a starch and the veggies were an Asian... More

Very nice atmosphere, quiet and casual. Food was good but not exceptional. Not a large menu. Staff was friendly.

This is not a first experience at the restaurant. Stopped for dinner on a Saturday evening and was greeted and seated promptly at a booth with cloth linens and mood lighting. My server was very helpful and encouraged me to try the special- prime rib. He was correct, the prime rib was excellent and well prepared. It was served with... More

We enjoyed our meal immensely and the waitress was very attentive, although probably hadn't been there too long as the other waitress had to tell her a couple of things that she should have known. They lost a point for a few minor things, my husband ordered a salad with no tomatoes, it came out covered in chopped tomatoes! Soon... More

Some choices better than others. Salmon is very good. "Grouper" special of the night didn't taste nor look like grouper. Nice wine selection with an ample serving. Good wait staff, but long wait for meal. Expensive for what you get.

We only stopped in for a drink and finally a bartender who knew how to make a proper cosmopolitan. She was very friendly and told us a lot about the area which we where interested in.

While in FFG during mothers day, stopped in for a mid-day meal. The staff were friendly and the table server was appropriate and did a great job taking care of us and our glasses full of water or tea. I order the Seafood Neuberg on rice w/ a side salad. I probably have had better out of a Lean Cuisian... More

Went here because we were told it was fine dining. It isn't exactly fine dining but the meals were good. Vegetable was a little overcooked. It wasn't fancy but the service was good. And it serves wine, which is not a given in this area.

New owners trying to save money with lower quality meat. Filet Mignon was $27 and over cooked, horrible flavor. Food wasn't even hot. Very sad since this used to be one of our favorite places to eat in Fairfield Glade! Missing Halcyon Days!
