Beef & Barrel

This little, rustic Crossville restaurant offers affordable meals & friendly, exceptional service. The Prime Rib is our favorite paired with roasted potatoes and a small dinner salad. The (fresh) fried mushrooms are excellent as well as quite plentiful. Early bird specials are offered at... read more

We got there right before the evening crowd arrived. Our meal was good. Two of the four got their food 10 minutes before the other two received their meal. We did get compensated for that. The ice cream at the end of the meal was a nice treat. We would go back.

We had dinner for a birthday on a Saturday night. We had a very short wait before we were seated, about 3 minutes. Our waitress, Sarah was very nice and and fast. She got us drinks and appetizers right away. The fried mushrooms with horseradish sauce and 10 hot wings the mushrooms were very good the wings were good as... More

Great menu with many selections to please everyone. They have steaks, burgers and seafoods, many appetizers and a full service bar. They offer a senior menu in the afternoon and the prices are very affordable. Home made soups are really good. Great bang for the buck.

Stopped here because two other places we inquired about were completely booked solid and my wife didn't want Mexican (there are several in the area). They had no wait and several tables empty. Prices were about average and the food was good, but not excellent and my wife's filet was undercooked (she ordered medium, but they served it to her... More

My husband and I were in town for a weekend getaway. I always look for local restaurants to eat at when we go away. We found an ad for Beef and Barrel and thought we would give it a try. We both were pleasantly pleased with our meal and the price. My husband is a big steak eater and he... More

The name says it all. Very popular restaurant in crossville, so much so they ran out of prime rib by 6 pm on a Friday. Ended up having a steak which was cooked perfect. The atmosphere was average and the service good. A nice place for dinner, but get there early on prime rib nights.

Food was decent -not spectacular-husband's hamburger was well done (ordered medium). bartender was nice-reprimanded while we were there for not letting someone know there were too many dishes to take back (probably should have been done in the back : (

We had an excellent meal here. My husband's prime rib was cooked exactly the way he ordered it and was perfectly lean. My crab cakes rivaled any I've had at any coast. The roasted potatoes are a must.

We had a party of seven and we phoned ahead and the table was ready for us when we got there at 7:30. I had the ribs, (worth the trip alone) and others had the prime beef, steak and Jerkey chicken. All came with soup or salad, bread and vegetable or potato. And there were loaves of bread on the... More
