We are on a one week vacation in Fairfield Glade and rely on local peoples suggestions as well as trip advisors ratings for restaurants. After visiting a winery next door, we decided to have dinner here. My choice of chicken Wellington was excellent. Had a salad with blue cheese dressing was also very good. I would have given it a... DON'T BOTHER with this place EVER! We will NEVER return here! The NEW owner,James Weismuller, came to Brass Lantern from a local Nursing Home about 5 months ago(and we ALL know how good NH and hospital type food is!) My husband had the Grilled Pork Chop which was NO better than a grocery store chop-it was bone-in and THIN and... More

Went for lunch on July 16 and ordered the 1/2 sandwich with choice of soup or salad, and chose salad. Waitress came with the meal which included 1/2 sandwich and a bowl of soup, AND she said this meal only comes with soup there is another meal that comes with soup and salad, she didn't bring any menu to see... Took my husband to Brass Lantern in Crossville, TN for his birthday. I am gluten free and while they don't have a separate menu the owners Son is also Gluten free and she had a special roll for me. We had the shrimp cocktail, a filet with salad, potatoes and green beans. All were excellent. The steak was done to... More

The place was booming with business and we did not have reservations. The hostess was extremely friendly and seated us in a booth. The pork chops were delicious! The sides were good, too! I would definitely go back.

The Brass Lantern is still excellent after a change of ownership. We had an excellent romantic meal.

Just a little rant: Our favorite restaurant Halcyon Days in Crossville closed recently so we decided to try a different one tonight called the Brass Lantern. Well....we were never so disappointed in our lives. We were seated fairly quick but the waiter said he would try to take care of us as he had a large group already. What he... More

We went to dinner with another couple on a Friday night. We all totally enjoyed our meal. The service was outstanding with friendly, prompt and attentive service. Not a place for everyday dining, but for a little upscale night out, it was wonderful. We will definitely go back.

Do not go to special buffets luncheons there. The food was terrible. Minimal and simple desserts. I was almost embarrassed that I even took my mom and mother in law there. Would have cooked for them instead as it was also very expensive with only fair service. Water glasses stayed empty

We tried the Brass Lantern for lunch, yesterday. This was our first meal there under its new ownership. My wife and I were greeted promptly by the server/hostess. The lunch menu has several nice offerings which are all reasonably priced. My wife ordered the French Dip sandwich, while I had the Reuben, or Ruben, depending on which menu you read... More
