We enjoyed the Applehouse and the market and candy store next door. The food was really good (not the best you've ever had, but really good). We felt the value was good (entrees around $10). This is a great place to go if you're staying between Gatlinburg and Cosby. Great service.

My granddaughters love visiting the restaurant and apple barn. Food is great and prices are very reasonable prices. Best fried apple pies, taste just like my granny use to make.

I stopped after hiking Mt Cammerer on July 4th. The food was excellent. There is also a great produce market, candy and gifts.

Something a little different, a combination farm stand and restaurant. Excellent homestyle mountain cooking. The apple cider, apple butter and and apple fritters served with the meal is a nice touch, and the food is well prepared and the staff friendly and attentive. The trout dinner is a 'must try' - recommend it broiled.

We were staying in a cabin nearby and the AppleHouse was recommended. It is located on an apple orchard with the mountains behind it. The view out of the restaurant windows is very pretty. The food was very good. You get a lot of food. We were stuffed when we left. However, it is a little pricey, since all meals... More

All entrees were over $10. This included a salad and apple fritters but the salad appeared to be of the bagged variety and mine had several browned clumps and the fritters were okay. I would get the soup next time it looked really good. The rolls were unique we had pot pie and pork chops. The pie was simple but... More

We always make a trip to the Applehouse when we are in the area. The restaurant is actually in an orchard and the tables overlook apple trees with mountains in the background. The food is home-style cooking. They serve a complimentary glass of apple cider and some apple fritters before you order. I get the chicken and dumplings every time.... More

Based on reviews, we drove north from hiking a trail in the Smoky Mountains for a meal. Their "acclaimed" apple fritters were deep fried dough...no apples, no icing, no powdered sugar, no taste. The accompanying cider was all of two swallows. I had chicken & dumplings except that it was dumplings without chicken. I do admit the dish had good... More
