What is one of the most relaxing atmospheres you could imagine while eating a delicious breakfast? Sitting with your family, enjoying the apple orchard right outside the window with beautiful mountains in the distance. This is exactly the atmosphere at Carvers. It is a beautiful drive approximately 30 mins from Gatlinburg. We found out about it 10 yrs ago, from... More

Basic American dishes, plain and simple. Good deal. Had the chicken pot pie, made there. You get apple cider , hush puppies with some apple butter to snack while you wait. Dish includes two sides and a salad. Check out the daily special. They forgot to mention it and I saw it as we left. That was a deal and... More

First off, the scenery is beautiful! It is away from the main highway, and right by an apple farm. You see a magnificent view of the mountains while eating the best food in town. It's amazing how many food items are Apple based, but you get your usual southern food as well. It's not crowded, the waitresses are very kind,... More

Stopped for breakfast on the way from Cosby Campground back to I-40. Glad we did. A lot of food at a very reasonable price. The home-made apple cider and apple fritters with apple butter were really good. The sugar cured ham was excellent, as was the real country gravy. After breakfast we went next-door to buy some of that great... More

You can't go wrong having breakfast at Carvers. Very affordable prices, and great country cooking. The ham was excellent, and we enjoyed the apple cider and apple fritters that came with our meals. Excellent views over their apple orchard, fast service, and the country store next door was well worth a stop (we bought more ham and cider!). We hope... More

Very much worth the side-trip off I40. Everything we got was excellent so we thought to rank the food part by part. Remember the bottom reading was excellent. The Apple cider, home grown sliced tomatoes, and chicken dumplings tied for first. The home made yeast rolls next. The fried Apple pie and ice cream next. Definitely a good choice.

Very good! Teen boys loved it. Had chicken and dumplings, chicken pot pie and the best chicken fingers. Apple fritters, apple cider, apple butter, fried apple pies… all yummy! Must be really pretty to come here in the Fall. Shopped at the store and got lots of presents like local honey, strawberry syrup, apple butter, peanuts, etc… We kept wishing... More
