My husband and I decided to try another Cookeville restaurant after being so disappointed with previous dining experiences in the area. I had the salmon with risotto and mixed fresh veggies, my husband had the lasagna with spinach and mushrooms. Both were delicious, service was great too. We plan to make this a monthly experience.

We enjoyed a very nice dinner and wine. The food was excellent. The ambiance was superb and the server was very nice. I could not believe we were in Cookville. I thought I was in Miami or New York. Excellent. We celebrated our anniversary in style.

What a delicious Italian dinner with my teenage daughters at this quaint place in Cookeville. The Chicken Parmesan entree was the perfect pairing of pasta, sauce and tender chicken. My daughters loved the bread and were envious of the large platter the solo man dining beside us that I thought they were going to ask for his extras! Service was... More

Yes, it's a little pricey, but not that much more than an ordinary restaurant. In fact the entrees aren't that much, it's the sides that are expensive. And this one's not ordinary: only place in town that really knows how to do veal. Fabulous food, great atmosphere, excellent wait staff = you get what you pay for.

On my first trip to this restaurant last week, I quickly decided I'll want to repeat when I return to this area. Every aspect was wonderful: ambience (seemed to be an old house converted to cozy restaurant, along with garden patio), service, food quality, wine selection, and overall experience. Kudos to the staff!

From the moment we parked, we liked what we saw. The front porch area was very inviting. The interior is decorated nicely w/ old world charm. Our waitress was personable, pleasant, and knowledgable. The salad arrived in a large bowl for our table of four, and the bread was flat, sliced into thin strips. The bread was different that we'd... More

My husband and I married on Memorial Day, 41 years ago and decided that Mauricio's was the spot for us to celebrate!! We were not disappointed!! The meals were superb and the service perfect. Because we shared it was our anniversary, we received a complimentary slice of cheese cake to share, my husband's absolute favorite dessert. This surprise just added... More

Though Mauricio"s can be slightly pricey for Cookeville, the experience, ambiance, wait staff and food make it well worth it. Furthest thing from a chain you are going to get. If you have a chance and the weather permits dine outside.

We just ate lunch here and very much enjoyed our experience. We have eaten all over the world including Italy and were very pleased with our meal. It is the first restaurant that I have found that makes tiramisu as good as mine. Will definitely eat here again. Can't wait to bring my mom for Mother's Day !

Nice ambiance, off the beaten path. Good food, just slightly bland for me. A little $$. Good for special events with out of towners.
