This place more than satisfied my need for a weekly Bar-B-Que "fix." Southern style pulled pork was moist and tender with just enough smokey flavor. Portions are large, prices are reasonable and service is good. Come early. Lunchtime was a bit crowded.

Huge Hushpuppies, big catfish, hot pool room slaw.... Those three things you will never have 'so good' of a taste again. It is heavenly battered and fried!!!!! Sweet tea is amazing too!

This was my wife and I's first visit in about 6 years to Bobby Q's. As of November '13 it had moved to a new location right by the square in downtown Cookeville. The new location is much smaller but they have done a nice job of renovating it into a restaurant and it still has the old Bobby Q's... More

I usually get the bbq sandwich or chicken strips, they have a very varied selection with some healthy sides. Don't forget to ask about the Banana pudding!

I've eaten here several times as well as used their catering services. All times everything was great. The BBQ is definitely smoked and never boiled or microwaved like other reviewers said.

All meat is pre-cooked and microwaved for the customer. Seasoning was shaked on the beef as an after-thought, then it was still cold when served. The beef is not brisket, which is traditional in BBQ, but rather a roast, sliced thinly. The flavor of the pork was, frankly, absent. The waitress was a very sweet girl, intent on making it... More

We like the ribs dry, not smothered in sauce, and that is what they have here. There are delicious baked sweet potatoes, though these are not always printed on the menu. The servers are college girls, and some are agreeable and some not. THe place is always crowded, so they must be doing something right. I would have given this... More

Waited an hour. We never got our food. Drinks filled once in an hour. Never saw our waitress last 30 minutes. Left frustrated and angry. Why? There were even empty tables because the church crowd had just left. we will never be back. bbq joints are a dime a dozen service is the difference!
