Good Cajun food and service

I enjoyed my night at Crawdaddy's. Ordered the Cajun Sampler platter and was very pleased with the portions and quality of the food. Offered it up with choices of hot sauce but I did not need it as the food had plenty of heat for me already. Toss in great service from the bar and a good selection... read more

We went here for lunch and do agree that it is one of the best restaurants in the area. My wife ordered the lobster bisque and we agreed that it's the best, thoroughly creamy with sherry and small pieces of lobster - what a treat! She ordered the fried green tomatoes, which are hard to find in the area. These... More

I have eaten at this restaurant about seven times in the last eight years and all the meals are good. If you have eaten traditional Cajun food in New Orleans or other places in big cities, you may not recognize this food.

We waited over an hour for a table. We waited almost an hour for or our food. We saw our waitress perhaps twice in that time. I had a small, dry, little hamburger on a huge bun and about 5 french fries. My wife had a fried oyster sandwich and the fried oysters were cold. Small, over priced portions. Cookeville... More

The atmosphere here is amazing. The staff are wonderful and very polite, always on top of your drinks and food. I tried the blackened ribeye and it was one of the best steaks I've ever had.. .simply amazing

We were there on a Friday afternoon just for an appetizer and a bloody mary. The Bloody Mary's were good. The fried green tomatoes with a remoulade sauce were out of this world. The best we have ever had. Beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious. We wanted to try a couple different restaurants while here for one night so that's all... More

Visited last December ... can't wait to return this summer! We had the fried seafood platter, which was outstanding. Excellent menu. Had never been to Cookesville ... what a treasure of a town!

We had a great dinner while visiting Cookeville. Our server, Nicole was great! We had never been here before and she made us feel like we were friends she'd known forever. She told us what menu items she had personally tried and liked and which ones she heard were good. Judging by Nicole's recommendations and the food brought to the... More

This is the kind of a spot you either love or you gotta really pick your time to go. The main entrees are often good tasting but they don't sit well with my belly a few hours later. It may be that they use a certain spice mix...can't tell you what it is as I have a strong constitution. I... More

Upstairs has a great casual bar scene. Downstairs is a first rate restaurant quiet enough for business conversation. Many of the dishes are patterned on New Orleans fare. My associates loved their selections as did I, though I opted for an excellent steak. Service was excellent. When the weather warms a bit I look forward to bunch in the outside... More
