We had a late lunch this day in the outside courtyard. Other that the garden needing weeding, it was a very pleasant atmosphere even on a summer day. There was a bit of a problem w/ the interpretation of the menu. I wanted a half salad & soup & asked waitress 1 if I could choose ANY sald as the... More

With a name like Crawdaddy's, one would expect yummy Cajun food, but this is not the case. Someone needs to give them some recipes if the are going to serve Cajun food! Their Crawfish Étouffée was the worst I've ever tasted anywhere! I have been told by a few friends that they like their food, just not the Cajun dishes.... More

Recently, on our way to Virginia we stopped by at Crawdaddy's and we said all the way to Virginia and back; the food at Crawdaddy's was very good; their Salmon, Hot Garlic Shrimp and their chicken plates were so deliciously prepared. What we were most impressed was their affordable prices! This is a must stop in Cookeville.

I really wanted to like this place - great reviews, great atmosphere, nice patio, BUT unfortunately the food is just average and the service was just weird. First, the dishes we enjoyed: the shrimp bisque was very good, the gumbo was thin but flavorful (but no bread was served with the soups - very unusual, particularly for a New Orleans... More

This restaurant is one of the few in Cookeville with good outdoor seating. If the weather permits and space is available, grab a table on the patio or the balcony. Be aware that there is music playing and it will be louder on the balcony, so if you are looking for quiet conversation then the patio is for you. There... More

After a great, but exhausting time at Cummins Falls, we decided to stop for a bite at Crawdaddy's. My husband fell in love with crawfish Etoufee during a recent trip to New Orleans and luckily they have it on their menu. Anyway, the outdoor seating was really, really nice. Our server was very nice and she didn't seem to care... More

Today I took my grandchildren and a friend on a tour of Tenn. Tech U. We decided to have lunch at Crawdaddy's because of good reviews. When we were seated inside there were only two other tables of guests. There was a wait for the outside tables so we opted for inside. After 45 minutes we finally received our meal.... More

Perhaps my expectations were high because it LOOKS like it's in "Naw' Lins" with the drawings of Bourbon & Royal Street scenes on the walls and a quaint courtyard outside. We both had the luncheon special of Fried Catfish on Rice. The fish was a bit too spicy for my pallet and dry. The rice on which it was placed... More

We were all treated well. My entree was Garden Distrrict Medallions, and it was in a great sauce. Others with me had the Salmon, and Sea Bass, also said it was very good. No room for desert, since it seemed like most entrees came with two sides.

Went for drinks. Ordered apps. Mussels were good but 9 unopened. They have me more but the chef should have checked.
