I recently needed to find a place to meet a friend for dinner that was halfway between Nashville and Knoxville. Cookeville seemed like the obvious choice. Not knowing much about the area, I relied on TripAdvisor to find a place to meet. We chose Crawdaddy's based on the good reviews and description and it was a great pick! We sat... More

Love good food? Crawdaddy's in Cookeville, TN has great food with indoor and outdoor pation seating - and a lively upstairs bar. We eat here quite often, and have yet to have a bad meal. The steaks are wonderful - tender, great flavor, always done just as you ask for. The New Orleans-style dishes will take you to that great... More

At first it was confusing as to who exactly our waitress was. My mother & I both ordered the shrimp po' boy, and my sister ordered the bourbon chicken. The shrimp were perfectly breaded, but I think there was too much bread, and the remoulade sauce was a bit to hot for me, but it was very good.

Crawdaddys is my favorite non- chain place to eat. Their bread pudding is the BEST and I love the poboys and bisque!

I stopped for the night in Cookeville - a small friendly town off I-40 in eastern TN - and found this golden nugget! It advertizes New Orleans style cajun cuisine, and purists may take issue with that claim. But without doubt, the taste and texture of the food is excellent. I ordered crab cake appetizer, and the grilled CA sea... More

We had a late lunch this day in the outside courtyard. Other that the garden needing weeding, it was a very pleasant atmosphere even on a summer day. There was a bit of a problem w/ the interpretation of the menu. I wanted a half salad & soup & asked waitress 1 if I could choose ANY sald as the... More

With a name like Crawdaddy's, one would expect yummy Cajun food, but this is not the case. Someone needs to give them some recipes if the are going to serve Cajun food! Their Crawfish Étouffée was the worst I've ever tasted anywhere! I have been told by a few friends that they like their food, just not the Cajun dishes.... More

Recently, on our way to Virginia we stopped by at Crawdaddy's and we said all the way to Virginia and back; the food at Crawdaddy's was very good; their Salmon, Hot Garlic Shrimp and their chicken plates were so deliciously prepared. What we were most impressed was their affordable prices! This is a must stop in Cookeville.

I really wanted to like this place - great reviews, great atmosphere, nice patio, BUT unfortunately the food is just average and the service was just weird. First, the dishes we enjoyed: the shrimp bisque was very good, the gumbo was thin but flavorful (but no bread was served with the soups - very unusual, particularly for a New Orleans... More

This restaurant is one of the few in Cookeville with good outdoor seating. If the weather permits and space is available, grab a table on the patio or the balcony. Be aware that there is music playing and it will be louder on the balcony, so if you are looking for quiet conversation then the patio is for you. There... More
