Hey Y'all! Stan's Restaurant has been servin' up the best in country cooking and friendly hometown service for generations of travelers and locals alike. We've been in these parts since 1947, and we know how Country Cookin' should be done, from scratch and with love. Breakfast around here steals the show, but don't worry, you can get it all day long. Come enjoy house favorites like our Po'ke Chops & Aigs, Country Ham, and Homemade Biscuits & Sawmill Gravy. If yer feelin' real country, give our Po'ke Brains & Aigs a try, they won't disappoint! Our real pit smoked BBQ is a must try, it's the real deal fo'ks. From our Kracklin' Cornbread, Turnip Greens, and Black-Eyed Peas to our fried Frog Legs...We mean to keep the Country in Country Cookin'! Stopping at Stan's is a Middle Tennessee tradition for truckers, travelers, and even a few famous fo'ks making their way to Music City. Come in and browse our antiques, souvenirs, and a few oddities you won't find anywhere else. Our Country Store (it's the original, by the way) stocks local jams, jellies, and the like to take home and enjoy. We ship our Famous Country Smoked Hams, Specialty Bacon and Sausage anywhere in the world! Whether it's to get gas for yer car, or food for yer Southern lovin' soul, Stan's has been keepin' it country for a long time now and we aim to please. Bye Y'all and see ya soon!

A must-stop everytime I travel that way

We travel this route every few months on our way to Decatur, AL for buisness and ALWAYS stop here for dinner or breakfast on the way. It is a little gas station diner but let the looks fool you. The food is so good and there is a large menu with many items to choose from. Everything I've ever... read more

Supposedly the reason Cracker barrel exists. This is the model for Cracker Barrel. Homey, restaurant. Great food. Lots of souvenirs along with smoked hams and slab bacon. Interesting place. Quite busy. Would go again.

I expected this place to be sort of like a mom & pop Cracker Barrel, it is and yet it isn't. The service isn't terrible but it's not great. The food is pretty average. If you're traveling and looking for a place to eat, this place is affordable. The back lot is for large trucks and the lot is in... More

We decided on Stan's mostly for convenience sake, as we were driving through Columbia on our way to Birmingham. I prefer to go to local restaurants rather than national chains and Stan's fit the bill to a T! I had a club sandwich that was really good. Fries were hot, sweet tea, perfect. A coworker traveling with me had the... More

Had no idea,Stans was close to hotel. We went in and found a souvenir shop in the front but what what mattered is who knows how long a collection of nashville stars photos and autographs all over. Actually overwhelming really. It was all rustic and not fake. I could tell this was a liftime of putting all this together. The... More

The dining room was pretty dirty, so I can only imagine what the kitchen was like. The food was OK, at best. We had the meatloaf daily special and grilled cheese. Both were far too greasy and without good flavor. If a restaurant can't make a good simple grilled cheese sandwich, something is wrong. The waitress was helpful and friendly,... More

We have eaten at Stan's in Columbia, TN several times ove the past couple of years for all meals and each time has been very good eats. Good down home country cooking with friendly and helpful staff and an easy going atmosphere makes for a very enjoyable dining experience.

This was our first time eating at Stan's. It appears from all the autographed pics on the walls it has been a popular stopping place for Nashville entertainers maybe since it opened in 1947. It was a very pleasant southern, local experience. My wife got the biscuits and gravy and I, my usual, ham and cheese omelette with hashbrowns, since... More

We've ate here on and off our entire lives. The past few times we'd been over the last year or so the food had gotten mediocre. This last trip will be our last. They were out of both mashed potatoes and French fries. The meatloaf was greasy and crumbly. The interior of the restaurant and the country store both need... More
