I had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes green beans and turnips. The turnips and green beans were so salty they were inedible. I saw my waitress three times, when she took our order, when she brought the food and when she brought the check.

We were headed back home and had heard from several that had visited that area that the food was really good so we decided to stop by. We were seated quickly, they were very busy and our waitress came to us and took our order shortly after we sat down. We had ordered all you could eat catfish so when... More

I have eaten at Stans for many year's, the prices are good and the food has all ways been good. However are last trip there was a bit disappointing, the food was a little bland, the tea and coffee were good.

The food was hot, but that's about the only positive that I can share. I wanted a good country-style southern meal. They only offer very greasy cracklin' cornbread or thin, sweaty moist cornbread pancakes, in the way of cornbread. I expect good corn muffins or cakes of cornbread. If they offered some plain cornbread fried in individual skillets, like they... More

My buddy and I were on our way to Talledega from Michigan and stopped here for lunch but ordered breakfast. When we're on the road or out of town we try to avoid the obvious fast food and chains. Stan's fit the bill. Although my friend has no southern background, unlike me, he enjoyed his eggs, grits and bacon. In... More

I missed the cutoff for dinner the night before (8pm), but was able to make a stop for lunch on my way back through. I've been here before and the story goes that this was the original Cracker Barrel. Home cooking, gift store and you can even get a beer if you'd like. I've enjoyed it everytime I've been in... More

The food we had was very good and had great flavor. Was cooked the way we wanted and didn't have to keep hunting our server down, she was always coming around and that's rare since they were packed.

We stopped on our way home from Nashville and I was very surprised at how good the food was. Definitely recommend stopping here.

We always try regional restaurants while on vacation. This was close to our hotel and offered us a first time try. It had a large gift shop and the food was pretty good, but a little on the salty side. I would try it again though. All in all, ok.

We go all the time & never had any bad food. We have ordered everything on the menu & we would rather wait over an hour to eat here then walk right into Cracker barrel. ED Spring, Hill, TN
