Hey Y'all! Stan's Restaurant has been servin' up the best in country cooking and friendly hometown service for generations of travelers and locals alike. We've been in these parts since 1947, and we know how Country Cookin' should be done, from scratch and with love. Breakfast around here steals the show, but don't worry, you can get it all day long. Come enjoy house favorites like our Po'ke Chops & Aigs, Country Ham, and Homemade Biscuits & Sawmill Gravy. If yer feelin' real country, give our Po'ke Brains & Aigs a try, they won't disappoint! Our real pit smoked BBQ is a must try, it's the real deal fo'ks. From our Kracklin' Cornbread, Turnip Greens, and Black-Eyed Peas to our fried Frog Legs...We mean to keep the Country in Country Cookin'! Stopping at Stan's is a Middle Tennessee tradition for truckers, travelers, and even a few famous fo'ks making their way to Music City. Come in and browse our antiques, souvenirs, and a few oddities you won't find anywhere else. Our Country Store (it's the original, by the way) stocks local jams, jellies, and the like to take home and enjoy. We ship our Famous Country Smoked Hams, Specialty Bacon and Sausage anywhere in the world! Whether it's to get gas for yer car, or food for yer Southern lovin' soul, Stan's has been keepin' it country for a long time now and we aim to please. Bye Y'all and see ya soon!

Quaint, plain but good food

We chose this resturant when a more known resturant is right across the street. The tourist shop was not much..how ever they had several pencil sketches from a local artist that I fell in love with and bought 2 at a very fair price...pretty much gas station snacks. Nothing memorable..thought buying... read more

This restaurant had been recommended to me by several people. I was on the way from Bardstown, KY to Troy, AL. Was by there about evening meal time and stopped there. The service was oaky and the meal was delivered quick enough. Ordered a breakfast meal and I guess I should have gotten something else. The grits were very dry... More

This was a restaurant, gift shop, and service station. We decided to give it a try and are glad that we did. The food was delicious. My friend had the BBQ on cracklin' cornbread and meat and three. Generous portions and delicious food. We were glad we gave it a chance and will definitely be stopping there again.

My husband and I were staying in a hotel nearby so went here for dinner. I ordered the pork chops with a dinner salad, fries and Texas toast. Everything was good! The pork chops were thin, but grilled tender with a tasty marinade and went well with the Texas toast. The fries were extra large and not too greasy. The... More

Great homestyle cooking. Catfish, fresh, hot and superb. Prices average for the area. Expect a lot of food with the dinners.

There are so few authentic places left in the US...but this is one of them. The food is a great example of what authentic southern cooking is capable of being. I had biscuits and gravy with a side of country ham. The ham was just perfect. If you haven't had real country ham before - I must warn you -... More

Great homemade food. The blueberry pancakes were yummy and each one covered the plate. Enough you can share. Great place for breakfast. but they serve it all day. Large portions. and priced right. I've had a lot less quantity and quality for a lot more. They have a little store too. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Came here for lunch this week while staying at the Holiday Inn Express just up the road. This is a small family place which has a similar business model to the Cracker Barrel. The only difference is they serve beer. The service was fast, the staff are very friendly. However, the menu is basic. For the price, a very good... More

We travel this route every few months on our way to Decatur, AL for buisness and ALWAYS stop here for dinner or breakfast on the way. It is a little gas station diner but let the looks fool you. The food is so good and there is a large menu with many items to choose from. Everything I've ever order... More
