Hey Y'all! Stan's Restaurant has been servin' up the best in country cooking and friendly hometown service for generations of travelers and locals alike. We've been in these parts since 1947, and we know how Country Cookin' should be done, from scratch and with love. Breakfast around here steals the show, but don't worry, you can get it all day long. Come enjoy house favorites like our Po'ke Chops & Aigs, Country Ham, and Homemade Biscuits & Sawmill Gravy. If yer feelin' real country, give our Po'ke Brains & Aigs a try, they won't disappoint! Our real pit smoked BBQ is a must try, it's the real deal fo'ks. From our Kracklin' Cornbread, Turnip Greens, and Black-Eyed Peas to our fried Frog Legs...We mean to keep the Country in Country Cookin'! Stopping at Stan's is a Middle Tennessee tradition for truckers, travelers, and even a few famous fo'ks making their way to Music City. Come in and browse our antiques, souvenirs, and a few oddities you won't find anywhere else. Our Country Store (it's the original, by the way) stocks local jams, jellies, and the like to take home and enjoy. We ship our Famous Country Smoked Hams, Specialty Bacon and Sausage anywhere in the world! Whether it's to get gas for yer car, or food for yer Southern lovin' soul, Stan's has been keepin' it country for a long time now and we aim to please. Bye Y'all and see ya soon!

Great Breakfast

This was our first time eating at Stan's. It appears from all the autographed pics on the walls it has been a popular stopping place for Nashville entertainers maybe since it opened in 1947. It was a very pleasant southern, local experience. My wife got the biscuits and gravy and I, my usual... read more

We've ate here on and off our entire lives. The past few times we'd been over the last year or so the food had gotten mediocre. This last trip will be our last. They were out of both mashed potatoes and French fries. The meatloaf was greasy and crumbly. The interior of the restaurant and the country store both need... More

We also ate at Stan's on 3/13/2015, and our experience mirrored the previous review. Been eating there when we traveled I-65 for 25 years, and it is showing it's age.

I was there on 3-13-2015 and it was very quite. That should have told us something. I ordered the country steak mashed potatoes and white beans. Wife got 4 veggies. For beginners we sat ourselves waitress took our drink order quickly. After that we sat another 15 minutes before she took our order. That was strike one. Strike two was... More

Very good southern BBQ. Atmosphere casual, rustic and welcoming. Dining area was clean, but the floor made it seem less than clean. Very friendly service. Prices are very reasonable.

This was a VERY busy place. People were standing in line waiting for a table the entire time we were eating. Food was very good. Staff was attentive, but very busy. Some organization was needed. All in all a pleasant experience.

Atmosphere is old, & dusty. At one time this could have been a local favorite. Now, almost all food is fried, fried, & fried. Mostly locals eat here & judging from their waistlines they eat here often. The cornbread muffins & Kraklin bread is just awful. No butter served here--margarine----again not healthy. The apple slices as a side were way too... More

We ate at Stan's in June 2014 and were dismayed how ill-kept the dining area looked. The debris under our table made me apprehensive to eat the food that was served. Sorry. I guess its not my kind of place.

Had the pleasure of eating here twice this week. The country fried steak was great as was the pulled pork. And the side dishes, wow, black eyed peas and pinto beans are like grandma used to make. And love that Kraklin Corn bread. Really great with the cracklings in it. The only way it could be better if it had... More

Stan's is a great greasy-spoon restaurant off of I-65, south of Nashville and Franklin, TN. Their country ham and pork chops were grilled to perfection. Any time that I can get grits as a standard side, I'm in heaven. The service was friendly, attentive, and polite. I loved watching the interaction with regulars...lots of stories and laughter. I'm definitely stopping... More
