We stopped at Stan's on our way to Nashville. The Pit BBQ Plate was large, but the meat was sopping wet and "porky." The French Fries were limp and undercooked. The daily lunch special was Chicken and Dumplings. It was only so-so...a cup of gravy and dumplings and very little chicken. Upon being asked about the missing bread that was... More

We had been on the road for several hours and stopped in Columbia for gas and decided to get some lunch too so we went to Stan's,. When we walked in my first impression was it looked like a mini Cracker Barrel with novelties and souvenirs, the dining area was not very appealing, dark and dingy looking. I ordered the... More

Had the family here for a saturday morning breakfast. I was pleased with the overall flavor of the place...it is what Cracker Barrel wanted to be but missed. On the other side, for a place to offer eggs and sausage and bacon and gravy...all those nice, wonderful fats one loves for breakfast...they didn't offer real butter for the toast or... More

When I travel, I like to visit non-chain restaurants in order to get a "flavor" of the local area. As such, I dined at Stan's Restaurant for both breakfast and dinner during a week stay in Columbia, Tennessee. In sum, Stan's Restaurant is a classic truck stop. Besides the restaurant, there is a gift shop and filling station. The restaurant/gas... More

Thank you so much for your recent visit to Stan's! Local businesses, like Stan's, really appreciate when a traveler chooses us over one of the big chains. I'm so glad you visited twice and appreciate your feedback. We look forward to seeing you on your next trip through Middle Tennessee! More

If you like breakfast this is the place to go. If you think Cracker Barrel is good you haven't had Stan's. We always try to make a stop anytime we're in the area. For many years my family has tried to stop it Stan's.

But very good at all, too flirty of a waitress. Bland good like oil was used to cook eggs instead of butter. If you love waffle house, you would hate Stan's

Stan's is one of those places you would not stop at if you didn't know the place. Country cooking at it's finest with crackling bread. For a southerner that's tops. Desserts are homemade and huge.

Stopped in for dinner with my husband & 2 kids. It's a more "rustic" version of cracker barrel. It's obviously been there a while so a little run down. But that's also a good sign- well used. Delicious food, small quaint atmosphere, quick service, very friendly, the quality&quantity for the price is excellent. And then you have a little store... More

Nothing fancy, just a real southern food experience. There's more to choose from than I expected, and I enjoyed the turkey and dressing special of the day with turnip greens, fried okra, and cracklin' corn bread. Prices are very reasonable and they have free wi-fi. The story is that the men who started Cracker Barrel loved the concept of home... More

Near one of our traveling companions hotel we decided to give it a try. The kind of meal and personal service that brings you back whenever you are in the area. Food was terrific but the waitress's insight and wiliness to work with even this tough crowd with likes dislikes and make it a wonderful experience for all almost overshadowed... More
