This was one location all the locals I was working with raved about and said we just HAD to try. It was ok. It was good food and good service but I found it average. The locals love it though so definitely go and judge for yourself. If nothing else you won't be disappointed.

A must try! Great food at a great price in historic Collierville. Get fried pickle spears for your appetizer!

With a huge ice storm baring down on the Mid South-- what to do except go to Gus' for our first taste of perfectly spiced fried chicken. Not much more can be said, althought it would be difficult to choose between the chicken or the bacon hush puppies as the favoriate. Some children or weaklings might find the chicken too... More

Not exactly vegetarian friendly ... Heck they even put bacon in their hush puppies! However, if you aren't too picky and don't ask too many questions on how things are prepared ... You can find a few treasures of southern culinary delight. If you are that rare admirable human being that doesn't eat fried food (you ain't from from around... More

Whoa! This chicken is awesome! It is cooked when ordered so don't expect it to immediately appear at the table. The crispness is unlike anything I've ever had. My husband and son-in-law love it, but unfortunately, it's too spicy for me, my daughter, and granddaughter. Another location in the area serves a mild version as well, but the location is... More

Being from the Pacific Northwest I had not experienced real southern fried chicken until my business associates invited me to lunch on Sunday afternoon. This was a dye for experience. Thank you

Excellent fried chicken. Sides are a little weak. A little pricey. Better than any fast food chicken in the area.

Not the best fried chicken I have ever had but it was very good! Fried pickles were good. Hush puppies were a little dry. Slaw and beans were average, nothing special. Our waitress was great. Kept our drinks filled and answered all of our questions. Adorable restaurant in an old house. I would not hesitate to return if in the... More

We were lucky enough to stop by and enjoy this great fried chicken. If you are in the area, definitely add this on the list to try. Not only was the chicken great, but the sides and service was also very good. Just be careful about the location as it is not a typical looking restaurant location, but actually what... More
