pretty good down home cooking

Good basic down home and country cooking. Rumored to have some of the best fried chicken in the area. Unfortunately, the one time I ordered fried chicken must have been an off day. Noted for their pies...and boy are they good. Always had courteous staff.

We were snowed in and a lady at our hotel recommend this restaurant. It was fabulous and we will make sure to return in the future.

This food is just like you mom or grandma made, depending on how old you are. It is good food. The desserts are dynamite too!

Salmon patties unedable and way too fishy. White beans tasted like they came from a can and had been cooked too long and looked like gravy. The coffee was pretty good.

We were so sick of fast food after driving from Ohio to Florida and back. This old cabin home turned into a restaurant was quaint and homey. The food was good southern cooking. The rolls were amazing and I wish I had room for the desserts they had in the case.

We just happened to see a sign and glad we did! We had turkey/dressing and fried chicken, home cooked vegetables and corn bread. Best chicken I've had and they call it broasted! Also, do not miss the dessert, especially the peanut butter pie. Look forward to stopping in again.

Food is great, staff is great. Love the way the place is set up in a old cabin house. Bathroom was a lil stinky though.

We stopped here after 4 days of hiking and we were NOT disappointed!! The food is so good. Between the 4 of us we had the roast beef, a hamburger, corn bread, some appetizers, a bacon cheeseburger and the ribeye. We left stuffed and satisfied!

Daily specials are a great value. I had chicken and dumplings with fried okra and beets. Rolls were sooooooo good. Hostess was a little snarly, but waitress was great. Very good food and service.
