Our lunch turned into such a fabulous visit! The Staff went out of their way to tell us what was fresh for the day and full of recommendations for fresh pasties to take home with us! Everything was absolutely lovely and we had a great chat with the Staff!!!!

I discovered Silkes via search on trip advisor. I was desperate to find something last minute for brunch. The staff was extremely helpful with suggestions and ideas. I chose the red wine salami with mini baguette as well as the chocolate whole wheat bundt cakes. Everything was a huge hit and disappeared before I could try them. My boyfriend and... More

There is a Deli and a Cafe in the same building. They appear to both sell the bread. My wife and I tried the Cafe which sells pizza, sandwiches, and soup. We tried the sandwiches which were amazing. I had a side of chicken and wild rice soup which was also great. The side of bread was also excellent. There... More

I love everything here. Their breakfast meat plate, the bread and potatoe soup and their tomatoes and basil pizza. Everything is fresh and has good prices. And their service is great. They also sell art from local artist. You just can't help but come back.

This is definitely one of my favorite places to frequent. Everything is freshly baked and really has that old fashion bakery appeal. My husband and I generally always get the vegetarian sandwich while my friend generally gets their Reuben. The potato salad is very good as well. They also make their own pizza dough which is always delicious. I highly... More

We were looking for something a little different so we stopped by to see the bakery. It's an authentic old world bakery. We did not get a chance to eat but the food smelled delicious. We did buy some bread to take home and it was great. We will return and and have a bite to eat next time we... More

Breads are excellent! Whether holiday, or just daily varieties, you won't be disappointed. Paintings and photography by local artists line the walls. Pleasant, intelligent employees.

I like the choices of soups they carry. They are delicious. The bread and pastries are also really good. I also have bought meat from their deli and thrown it between a fresh piece of bread and it's yummy.

We so enjoyed all of the food we ate at Silkes that on our return back through Tennessee we went out of our way to eat there again. It was simply delicious! See the picture of our first breakfast. We didn't get a bear claw the second time, but everything kept us full all day!

Great Old World Bread on the sandwiches. However, the service was very SLow. You walk in, stand in line at the counter to place an order. We were in line 30 minutes with only about 8 people in front of us. Then after we sat down was about 20 minutes for a Reuben sandwich and muffaletta. We were driving through... More
