Good reviews compelled us to dine here. I ordered crab cakes with fries, wife ordered 1catfish with steamed vegetables. The Fried okra came as a free appetizer with cole slaw for each of us. We found the preparation and flavor to be perfect, both are bottomless if you desired more. Crab cakes arrived done to perfection, larger than anticipated and... More

We were visiting Clarksville in December and several locals told us about this place which is located on the river near downtown. The food was very good. We had catfish and crab cakes at our table. We ordered salads and got sides but they also brought slaw and beans family style. We had great service and the food came out... More

The catfish house has been around for a number of years. It is now in a new location. The food is still good. The menu has expanded over the years and the offering is quite large. If you like a little difference with your catfish, try the steamed vegetables. They are really outstanding.

We ate here for the first time when visiting Clarksville for graduation this month. Several people at the university had mentioned it to our daughter so we thought we would give it a try. The food was very good and the portions were good. We had the fried catfish which is done in a cornmeal batter and delicious. I had... More

I asked where is the best place to get seafood and the response was, do you like catfish? Luckily for me I do and I’m glad i asked the question. This restaurant have just about perfected their catfish meal and trimmings. I enjoyed myself and I’ll bet everyone else in the restaurant will say they did too.

Slow service and the food was sub-par. I think this place is overrated. I will not go back here anytime soon.

A friend of mine was craving fish, so we decided to go to the Catfish House in Clarksville, Tn. We arrived around 6:30 p.m. on a Friday night. They were crowded, but we waited anyway, but only about twenty five minutes and I'm here to tell you that it was worth the wait. Our server was Ben, he was the... More

Love this place! Any time we have visitors to Clarksville, this is where we take them to dinner. I've always experienced great service here and have never had to wait too long to get a table. If you're looking for a great catfish lunch or dinner, this is the place to go! They have a nice scale of prices, so... More

My family has eaten here on several occasions. It is by far the best southern fried catfish you can get anywhere. The entire meal is delicious. Hushpuppies, white beans, slaw, catfish, homestyle french fries, and sweet tea. You get a lot of food for the price. The staff is friendly, service is usually very good, a nice family atmosphere.

We really enjoyed the Catfish House while visiting our children that live in Clarksville, Tn. Every dish our group of 8 ordered was excellent. The service was amazing! We will make this a must go to restaurant when we visit them. I highly recommend this restaurant.
