Funky atmosphere; tasty brunch

We were on a road trip from ATL to Nashville and stopped here for lunch. The atmosphere is totally funky; it is located in a converted historic knitting mill. The service is friendly, and the food is fabulous. The house mimosas are $1 at brunch; what a bargain! The salads were fresh, huge and... read more

The beef brisket is to die for!!! It is fork tender and delicious. The service is outstanding too. This is one of my favorite places to eat.

This is one of my personal favorites for fine dining in Chattanooga. It is romantic, artsy, professional and formal without being pretentious or too stuffy. Its a 'nice place' as my mom would say, she wouldn't want me to wear something too casual for dinner there. It has lovely views from the upstairs tables by large windows (my favorite place... More

Husband & I live about an hour south of Chattanooga but we go there once a month to run errands. Normally we go to an in and out chain for a bite of lunch but I had heard so much about this restaurant, we wanted to give it a try. First of all, the atmosphere and setting were a killer.... More

We have a regular girls night out. Usually we go somewhere different every time. After coming to Food Works we now have a regular spot. The food is excellent, the service wonderful, great ambiance for the occasion. I highly recommend it.

Tired, hungry, and hot summer Saturday visit to a new place. We were not disappointed. Husband had crusted salmon and I had brisket. Very delicious. Six item kiddie menu could have yielded better healthy choices but overall atmosphere, waitstaff, and most importantly, the food was all wonderful! We will definitely be going back for more~.

They have $1 mimosas. I don't feel like I need to say anything else... I'm only saying this cause there's a 100 character minimum!

My wife and I checked out this place based on the reviews here on a Thursday afternoon around 3:30. Needless to say, we were sorely disappointed in both the lack of service and the quality of the food. There must have been a shift change between lunch and dinner, so there were minimal staff on hand. (1 server and a... More

My wife and I enjoyed a fantastic meal here, as part of our date night on Friday May 1st. The meal was awesome, the service was very good, and the desert was to die for. I highly recommend the bread pudding ala mode when you visit.

Located in a cool old factory building, the Knitting Mill, Food Works was the perfect place for an early dinner after several thirsty hours wandering through the adjacent antique shop. I love mahi mahi, so I ordered theirs, and was not disappointed. It was flavorful and tender, and the accompanying veggies were tasty. As it was early, finding a seat... More
