Funky atmosphere; tasty brunch

We were on a road trip from ATL to Nashville and stopped here for lunch. The atmosphere is totally funky; it is located in a converted historic knitting mill. The service is friendly, and the food is fabulous. The house mimosas are $1 at brunch; what a bargain! The salads were fresh, huge and... read more

Located in a cool old factory building, the Knitting Mill, Food Works was the perfect place for an early dinner after several thirsty hours wandering through the adjacent antique shop. I love mahi mahi, so I ordered theirs, and was not disappointed. It was flavorful and tender, and the accompanying veggies were tasty. As it was early, finding a seat... More

Arrived 10:15 am for a Sunday brunch with 10 people. Good thing we arrived early as location filled steadily. We did NOT have a reservation, and in talking to hostess staff, there were multiple parties of 8-12 booked in with reservations. Setting is a thread mill converted into a nice restaurant with high ceilings, exposed walls which are all clean... More

My family enjoys this restaurant very much. The brunch served on Saturday and Sunday is great. We haven't been crazy in love with everything we've had there but there are a few things that have been great every time. The French Toast is a must have. My favorite is the chicken and waffles. The burger is good too. Tried the... More

this restaurant is a great place to go for after work drinks and appetizers but is not the place to go for a sit down meal. I was really conflicted by this place. Great atmosphere, excellent service, and good location. The food was just very bland with no flavor at all. If you are looking for a place to have... More

Stopped in on a recommendation from a friend - Good Friend, Good Recommendation! A weekday lunch with good service, good food and great setting. We had the Black Angus Burger and Fish Tacos and would order both again.

We made reservations for dinner with our elderly parents. We were told we had a tall table on the main level. This would have worked very well as my father has difficulty walking up stairs and standing up out of a regular height chair. When we arrived we were told that the table we had reserved was no longer available... More

We had a rehearsal dinner at Foodworks. The food was amazing! I honestly cannot decide which was better the prime rib, chicken, or trout. The service was good and the deserts were delicious ranging from Peach Cobbler to Carmel. We had loads of kids and they felt more than welcome there. This is an excellent venue for large parties or... More

I've been here a few times since they opened. Pot pie was average. Steak was really, really good, as well as the squash/gnocchi. Breakfast burrito was just average, nothing special about it. The service definitely needs to improve. Our last visit was on Father's Day 2014, after the lunch rush. We arrived with very few people waiting to be seated.... More

My very large family & I had the pleasure of eating at Food Works for our Christmas gathering. They were very accommodating of our big party. Some of the entrees were better than others. My husband got the brisket which was out of this world. Several of us ordered the crab stuffed flounder. While the flounder had very little taste... More
