If you haven't been, you have to try it. It's different, but good. Be prepared to wait for a seat. I will return everytime I'm in town.

My family and I came here to have breakfast with my brother in law for his birthday couldn't get a seat because there were six of us . The server then stated we could sit out side but then we couldn't get food because they were not serving outside plus there is no parking on site so expect to have.... More

I made one mistake when visiting... I overestimated my abilities to handle the massive pancakes. It was my first visit and I decided to order a fat stack with blueberries, which is three pancakes, some eggs, bacon, and potatoes. Unlike other places you go, you get what you pay for at Aretha's, and it's all delicious. The pancakes were heavenly... More

My cousin took me here when I came to visit her, and I am glad she did. The restaurant itself is unique and has a fun vibe, although there isn't much seating and I don't think it would be particularly family friendly. The serve breakfast all day long, and their pancakes were incredible! They had to be at least an... More

After several unsucessful attempts, I finally got service at Aretha Frankensteins. All the reports were true, and the Pancakes were worth waiting for.. I had Pecans with mine and crispy bacon. Everything is better with bacon. This is kind of a hippy bar, with lots of beer flowing, and old music to match the decor. Parking is an issue, and... More

We added this to our trip after reading the reviews here and on TV Food. It did not disappoint. It is a rather 'artsy' place, the name might give you a clue to that. The pancakes were INCREDIBLE! The were a mile high and with a consistency that was light and almost fluffy cake-like. The potatoes were fresh roasted with... More

This place was in a quiet, unassuming neighborhood in a renovated house, but when you get inside, wow! The music, the decor, all full of energy and fun. The beer selection was great, and the food was delicious! We had the spinach quesadillas with home made refried beans and we both loved every bite. The staff was young and fun... More

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast based on a locals’ recommendation. Glad we stopped, as the food here is very good. This is a small restaurant and is difficult to find as it is in an out of the way location. It is an older building. They only six small tables plus the bar. This place only holds... More

After a long night ringing in the new year, we all needed something fulfilling and yummy to properly wake us up. A buddy of mine who's lived in Chattanooga all his life mentioned Aretha's. Had never been or even heard of it, so we decided "what the heck?". It was tucked away so well that if you had never been... More

I have lived in the Chattanooga area my whole life and before yesterday I had never tried Aretha Frankenstein's. This is really a sad truth, but I am just glad I didn't let anymore time go by without trying it. My husband and I went on a Thursday around 5:30 for dinner. It was not very busy, but I understand...
