Neighborhood Bar that specializes in breakfast.

This is the kind of bar that the people in the bar all turn around and look at you when you enter, return to their conversations and drinks and ignore you after that. Went here with a couple of friends while in Chattanooga this past week end. We had been told to get there early unless we didn't mind waiting for a table. We arrived shortly after they opened at 7:00 am and it was a good thing we got there when we did. The restaurant only has six to eight tables and... More

Ate here on Saturday morning, recommended by my daughter. Waited around 30 minutes on the porch, 43 degrees...staring at outdoor heaters that were not in use? Quaint little place, seats about 25 people inside. Hubby had the slim stack of pancakes, just ok. I had eggs, bacon, potatoes & a biscuit. It was ok I guess. Definitely wouldn't go to... More

In the spirit of adventure, we decided to try Aretha Frankenstein's. At first blush it seemed a bit odd for the place to be in a residential neighborhood, but the place looked inviting, so we decided to go ahead......best decision ever. We did have to wait but the wait was well worth it. We only waited about 30 minutes or... More

This was our second time dining here while visiting Chattanooga for the weekend. We got there around noon on a Sunday and the wait was about an hour (same thing happened last time). We didn't mind as we enjoyed sitting outside sipping coffee, talking, and people watching. My wife ordered the short stack pancakes. Enough food for two! I got... More

First off let me say that it is hard to find BREAKFAST on a Sunday in DT Chattanooga!! We found Aretha Frankensteins via Trip Advisor after realizing that our first choice was closed on Sundays. Boo! BUT, we never knew about this little gem and we intend to go back. Four stars are only due to the limited seating, so... More

Located in an older home in a quaint neighborhood, Aretha's is one of my new favorite restaurants anywhere! The pancakes are close to an inch thick and the potatoes that came with my fabulous omelet were out of this world. Besides the potatoes they were cooked with jalapenos. My biscuit was about three inches tall and so fluffy. Service was... More

Small restaurant with excellent food. I had French toast and wife had the house pancakes and everything was great. We try to find these out of the way small restaurants and this one was a winner. Next time through Chattanooga, we're sure to stop again.

Great young vibe, really good food, try the Wagyu burger! Fine bar and good tap selection. Has indoor and outdoor seating, tv's for sporting events and more, staff is friendly and helpful, so head out for fun evening!

Not many tables so expect a wait, but the staff is friendly and courteous. The food is delicious with good prices and generous portions, and the decor is very interesting.
