We got to eat breakfast outside while we watched the regatta taking place in the Tennessee river. I highly recommend the Benton's bacon, Aretha frankenstine pancakes, and the cheese omelet. My husband loves the chorizo burrito. The coffee and mimosas are also wonderful. However, the service varies. While we normally have great service, on this occasion our waiter only had... More

As a local, I really want to like the Blue Plate. It has a great location and view near the river. It has outdoor patio seating and allows pets...if they behave. I have eaten there a number of times in hopes that the mediocrity of previous meals was merely my bad luck. However, I have come to expect good service,... More

The food was cooked fresh and was very tasty and came with excellent service all in view of the river! Oh and BACON!

This restaurant is a nice casual spot close to the TN aquarium and the Riverwalk. We went because they had a gluten free menu and I have celiac disease. The gluten free menu included a spinach salad with toasted coconut and strawberries, which is what I had. It was very tasty. The menu also said many of the burgers and... More

We ate here for lunch on Friday before IM. The location was great, just outside of athlete village. We expected to wait, but the wait was short. To our surprise they appeared to only be sitting half of the tables. How could you not have a full staff for lunch on check-in day right outside of Ironman Village? Our server... More

At both lunch and dinner at this restaurant - both were take out. I had their Strawberry Salad, and added spicy shrimp, for lunch. WOW. It was one of the best salads I have ever eaten. Very sad this is not available near my house as I would be getting it to take out a lot. Price was great, great... More

A trip to chattanooga would not be complete without a trip to the Blue Plate. We visit family about 6 times a year and the Blue Plate is on the agenda each visit. Pancakes are great, the Bacon is cooked to perfection and the coffee is always hot. Service is consistent and the area is beautiful.

I thought the food was pretty good. It wasn't my favorite place on the trip but it was good. I didn't order wine but a friend did and it was $10 per glass which I think she said was ridiculous given the place it was.

I visited The Blue Plate for lunch with friends during the inaugural Ironman Chattanooga. It was a great location, right next to the Ironman village. I'm not sure that they were really ready for the amount of people that this race brought in. We waited almost 30 minutes for a table for 3 with many tables, both inside and out... More
