Nice diner style

Good fresh food served well and quickly. Menu has a tendency to be dominated by fried food. Not bad, but not light dining.

Clean nice downtown restaurant. Has nice view of the river. Is also pet friendly. Not fancy, but very clean. Wait staff efficient and friendly. Food is good home style cooking. If you are looking for an upscale restaurant this is not it. However, it is a place to stop for casual good food.

The Blue Plate is OUR go-to place for a nice, late Sunday brunch. Brunch (on both Saturdays and Sundays) is from noon-5 pm. 5 pm? It definitely doesn't get any better than that! BTW, if you haven't tried the "Vespa" drink, you absolutely must. It's the best way to cap off a nice, 4 pm (ish) weekend brunch experience!

This was just OK, I felt the menu was very small, but it was nice to sit outside and be able to see the river and watch all the people going by. It is close to the Aquarium and there is a lot of foot traffic. The service was a little slow but there were several bus loads of visitors... More

We had gone by this restaurant several times and it was always busy. Decided to try it and wished we hadn't. My husband had the fried chicken and I had the turkey meatloaf. His chicken was burnt and all the food was lukewarm at best. Service was good from the waitress that had been there only 3 days but her... More

We decided to eat at The Blue Plate before going to the ballgame and weren't disappointed. We sat outside, but faced into the bar. Amber served us. My turkey club was very good, the drinks were reasonable, and Amber was a good server even as she doubled as the bartender. This is a great place for a small meal and... More

My adult daughters and I took a quick trip to Chattanooga. This was our first time at The Blue Plate. Our service was great! I had the Loaded Chips. Amazing! Their hand cut chips are crispy and they were piled high with all the goodies. My daughters had the buttermilk fried chicken with Mac and Cheese as their side. They... More

This is a convenient restaurant to AT&T Field; there is parking in the garage nearby, and you can just walk up the hill to the stadium after you eat. There are generally lunch and dinner specials, and sandwiches are good. The Turkey Club is recommended; excellent bacon. Crowded and busy just before games, so get there early, or plan on... More

Hands down the BEST biscuit and gravy I've ever tasted thus far!! and I order this in every restaurant that offers it. Decent portions. We had their french toast, biscuit and gravy and omelet....amazing!!! shared these between 3 people and had left overs. Definitely recommend!!

This place had a lot going on and was very cool. I had pancakes with strawberries that was great. My wife had some incredible bacon. The prep maybe took a little too long for my four year old, but this is a place I'd go eat if I lived in Chattanooga. Which, sadly, I do not
