If you are visiting Chattanooga this is a MUST!! An authentic British tea room run by a delightful British couple (the Sarjants) with all those little things that make teatime so special.....lace table cloths, proper tea (not bags), tea pots with cosies, scones with jam and cream etc......all served with old world charm in a room where the surrounds are... Been here multiple times. Food is consistently good. Small dining area, but they make good use of the space. They offer teas, entrees, and desserts. Wait staff is attentive and friendly. Very enjoyable place for lunch or a ladies get together.

Nothing like a midday break from the routine...tea service, quaint dining space and their flounder is perfect every time! Have also enjoy an assortment of finger sandwiches at one visit with a couple of friends, soup and salad another...always revert to the flounder (get the peas!) as the go-to for a lunch that satisfies. While the crowd is typically female... More

My daughter treated me to a lunch out here. The house tea was wonderful and some of the best I have even had. The staff was very friendly. The menu also had some very good Gluten Free Options. I ordered the cottage pie and it was wonderful. I would highly recommend this Tea Room!

Just delightful! Really good food, be sure to try the potato-leek soup, friendly, helpful service. Not far off I24 and parking close by, recommend.

The English Rose Tea Room is a small yet thriving part of the Southside in Chattanooga. Their menu is not exhaustive but every item is done well and prepared when ordered. Their selection of teas in remarkable as is the unusual items they sell in the retail area. I had Steak and Mushroom Pie with British Beans and the meal... More

What a lovely tea room! I was thrilled when I found this little tea room and gift shop. The staff is so sweet and waited on me like I was the only person in the room (even though the room was full). The tea was so good and the scones and lemon curd was to die for. After dining, I... More

Being English, we miss our afternoon tea, so it was a real treat to find The English Rose in Chattanooga. It is quintessentially English - china tea cups, warm scones and crumpets, clotted cream and more... an absolute delight!

The atmosphere is adorable! The tea is so yummy, as are the scones and lemon curd. Happy, helpful waitstaff. Such a nice way to spend late morning/early afternoon. Highly recommend.
