Our out-of-town daughter wanted to take her parents to a special restaurant the Saturday before Mother's Day, so we chose St. John's. It really was a memorable experience, despite the fact that husband Jon's antelope was terrible and had to be sent back. Disappointing especially since it was recommended by our personable waiter. The menu is a bit pricey for... More

Ate at St. John's last night and had a phenomenal dining experience. Not expecting this quality in Chattanooga.......more like a Barbeque town. That said St. John's has the feel of NYC without the attitude. Ate at the bar which was lively but not overly crowded. I had Axis Venison Tenderloin. It was outstanding. Served on grits with a cherry relish.... More

Had another wonderful meal at St. John's. My wife and I both ordered the Ramp and Spring Onion Soup with crab and mushrooms. It was creamy and delightful with the onion not overpowering. We also enjoyed the wagyu beef zabuton steak. It is historically my favorite dish at a restaurant and is the best thing I have had since the... More

Laura and I ate here on a Monday night. We were greeted warmly, and taken to a table upstairs. As we looked at our menus we were served a a wee small complimentary soup, compliments of the chef; nice touch, tasty soup. Our waiter was knowledgeable and not intrusive. The wine list was fairly extensive, though tilted to the usual... More

The meeting place is a first class bar and restaurant . As good as any place in Atlanta. Incredible atmosphere and food. The chef is a James Beard finalist. A great variety of creative and superbly prepared and delicious dishes. Hard to believe for Chattanooga.

My wife and I had a very late dinner since we had been traveling from central to eastern time without realizing until well after we had made reservations we could not possibly make, but St. John's accommodated us by changing our reservation time and greeted us warmly. We had a wonderful and quiet table upstairs. Our waiter was not only... More

As we had been travelling all day so we reserved a table at The Meeting Place rather than the more formal, St Johns restaurant. A short wait for our table at 7.45 as the restaurant was full and deservedly so. An imaginative menu and good service, we like to have time to enjoy our meal not feel under pressure to... More

St. John's is a simple atmosphere and a high price menu. Your food your drinks and your company provides the flavor. Choose wisely and you'll have a great experience.

The food was very good and different from other restaurants in the south, which pleased us as transplants here. As good as the food was, the service didn't match. We've gone a few times and its the same each time. I would like to think that it's going to change soon.
