One of my favorite resturants

This is one of my special go to places. Food is always great. Service can be a little slow depending on the crowd but it isn't a fast food kind of place.

Visiting from out of town, we found St. John's to be a great experience! Our waiter was courteous and helpful, service was prompt but not rushed and the food was perfect. The corn lobster soup was our starter. It was sweet and had the perfect amount of lobster. For entrees I had the snapper and my husband had the filet.... More

Very good place for a special occasion. The plates also have generous portions. It's a nice classy restaurant without going overboard of the pickiness...lol The service was also excellent both times I was there. We felt right at home and the food was excellent.

St. John is a very long drive for us but we would make it to experience this restaurant. But the last two times we were there the service was yuk. Our wine had gone back and sent it back..then the crap service. Wine was expensive..then our food was not prepared to correct temperature like very very rare. Sent back...enough said.

This place is not in the typical touristy section of town, but not far away. Crowded, a little loud, but yummy food.

Visiting from metro NYC area (lower Hudson Valley), this was our second time at St. John's. From the sourdough bread to the lobster corn chowder to the amazing pork trio entre, everything was excellent. Add in great ambiance (sit upstairs!) and a professional, but comfortable wait staff and you've got a perfect experience! Don't miss it!

Walked in for dinner, no reservations, while on a business trip. A colleague recommended it as a great place to eat so we have it a shot thinking it was down home southern cooking. Surprise, it is fusion southern cooking. The food was very good, interesting choices on the menu all using local ingredients from small farms. The wine and... More

We had 7:45 reservations, arriving 7:15 planning to enjoy a drink at the bar before dinner. There were 2 empty seats, we asked if they were taken. Was told by the bartender that they were, but that we could order a drink, which we did. While waiting to get our drinks we overheard the bartender telling another patron that we... More

Dinner with a colleague at St John's was one of the top 15 meals of my life. I had the venison on a mound of Marcapone grits with this amazing salsa I gave up trying to analyze, and a grilled peach. Hands down the most unusual combination of ingredients I have ever eaten together. It was bliss. On the side... More
