I am pleased with another decision we’ve made because of TripAdvisor reviews. My husband and I were celebrating our birthdays and wanted a nice place to have dinner. The food was wonderful! The seafood is never frozen and many of the ingredients come from local farms. Our service was also wonderful and we want to thank John for that! It... more

Our recent experience at St. John's was the most enjoyable dining out that my wife and I have ever experienced. We have been fortunate to live throughout the United States and travel to many foreign countries. Enjoying local cuisines and culinary differences is what we do for fun. The dinner we had at St. John's topped them all to include... more

I grew up in Chattanooga and live in Atlanta now. My family is still there so we visit frequently. Whenever we have the opportunity we dine at St. John's. It rivals any Atlanta restaurant. Outstanding food, service and atmosphere. Don't miss this place! more

Coming from NYC we're very spoiled by excellent food and service. We were visiting Civil War sites in Gerogia/Tennessee and I never checked into restaurants other than casually looking at the Chattanooga visitor guide. St. John's Restaurant was near our hotel so we made reservations and walked over - never expecting to find such a real treasure!!! Our waiter John... more

The dinner was all locally grown organic meats that we ate that night. In addition to the meat being cooked to perfection, the seasoning was simple and exquisite on all the dishes. Melt in the mouth good. more

Great food and wonderful service at The Meeting Place, which is the sister restaurant of St. John's and right next door. I'm pregnant and wanted lemonade. It is not on their menu, but they had made a lemonade for the base in some of their special martinis so I was able to get a glass. Additionally, they have a great... more

From the moment we entered, we were treated as special. Greeted at the door and escorted to a special second floor table framed by a window overlooking the front of the restaurant. The area was spaced well to allow for privacy but not secluded. The music was soft and in the background adding to the overall experience. Our waiter was... more

This was not the restaurant I imagined after reading the reviews. I had emailed ahead to plan a special evening while visitng Chattanooga. I asked for a semi-private table while I understood a Saturday night would be a busy night they may not be able to seat me at a completely private table, but I ended up at a table... more
