While visiting friends in Chattanooga, we researched restaurants and saw that St. John's was ranked #1. It certainly lived up to its ranking! The food was simply exceptional. We have dined in recommended restaurants in many cities in the US and abroad, and we have never had better. The service and ambience made for a complete dining experience. The four... More

Call me jaded, but I did not expect to find fine dining in Chatttanooga. However, St. John's is a true culinary experience. The service was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, the ambience is very upscale, and the food was out of this world. The scallops were fresh and not "fishy tasting", which was a concern of ours, given the distance from... More

I was pleased and surprised to get a last minute reservation for 3 at Chattanooga's number one rated restaurant on a Friday night. Service was impeccable and the food was superb. Try the wild salmon and the arugula/strawberry salad. I am also told by experienced diners that their dessert selection is a good as the entrees on the menus. We... More

My parents and I ate here for my birthday several years ago and I keep forgetting to review it. We ALL agree that this was one of the finest meals we have ever had in our entire lives. Chattanooga has so many good places to eat, but please don't miss this one if you ever get the chance to eat... More

This is our go to for a special night out in chattanooga. There are other great dining options in Chattanooga, but none as consistently exceptional as this one! Also Meeting Place next door is a great option to save a few bucks and be a bit more casual with the same quality.

The top rating for this place is well earned and well deserved. Service was friendly, prompt, professional and a well informed/trained staff. Kudos to Meghan, in particular. Food itself was superb. Unusual combinations prepared perfectly and beautifully presented. First class and highly innovative by any standard. Only complaint was restaurant apparently tolerates cell phone use in the dining area; which... More

On a long weekend visit we met up with friends who took us to their favorite restaurant in town - St John's. Given they have lived (and eaten) in some world class cities I knew we'd be in for a treat. Certainly one might expect a "good" restaurant in a town the size of Chattanooga but we were very very... My wife and I moved back to Chattanooga a year ago and have consistently heard that St. John's is the best restaurant in a town blessed with good, non-chain options. Recently, we had dinner and came away in complete agreement with the city's judgment. First, we've traveled the world on business and had the pleasure of eating food where it... More

Lovely restaurant with outstanding food and service. Everything we ate was perfection and our server could not have been more attentive to our needs. Nice place if you are celebrating a special occasion.

My wife and I were visiting Chattanooga and based on recommendations ate at St. John's - we are glad we did. It is located in a beautifully restored old hotel. The restoration produced an elegant and open surroundings consisting of two floors. Highly suggest advanced reservations that can be made through Open Table on the web or directly with the... More
