This was just my experience. The person was not the most friendliest - but the coffee was good and the place convinient. hey, everyone has a bad day. There are other options VERY near by - as I opted for the next day based on the grumpy person.

How can a 4 star hotel have a café that is closed on the busiest Saturday of the year in the entire city?

Great coffee, fresh fruit and scones. Just a short walk from the lobby. Wish that it was open on Saturday morning.

This is a small sandwich shop located adjacent to the Chattanoogan Hotel. Several sandwiches are available in a relatively short time frame which makes this well suitable for those that only have 20 or 30 minutes for lunch. I would highly recommend the cajun turkey wrap. It is really good.

Strouds is on the corner of The Chattanoogan Hotel. It is a great alternative to the pricier breakfast buffet in the hotel. We stopped in to grab coffee and breakfast before jumping on the shuttle to the aquarium. Our options were bagels (3), yogurt, muffins (2),fruit and a ham/cheese crossiant. These are are options I am happy with however not... More

Strouds is a small sandwich and pastry shop adjacent to the TVA complex. They have soup, salads and variety of panini sandwiches and non-panini as well. I am partial to the smoked chicken chpolte panini, Smoked Chicken Breast/Apple Wood Smoked Bacon with Provolone Cheese, Topped with Chipotle Mayonnaise on Ciabatta Bread. There are a few places to sit inside and... More

I would definitely get the buffet including the omelets. I like my eggs well done and my husband does not so make sure to specify. They will accommodate for sure. You will also get very fresh fruit on the side, so I suggest taking advantage of this awesome perk.

We were staying at The Chattanoogan for a conference and wanted something close by to eat. The hotel food was just too expensive so we walked to this corner cafe that is connected to the hotel (but you can't get to it from inside the hotel). We ate there every morning for 4 mornings AND 3 lunches! The muffins, the... More

Found it on our walk. Just outside The Chattanoogan Hotel. Wonderful baked goods, salads and sandwichs to go. Friendly staff.

The sandwiches are great. They do get a little overwhelmed during lunch hour due to TVA being next door.
