Real family experience

I like Beas. They have great fried chicken probably the best in town. It is an unusual experience. You sit at a lazy susan and eat with others. It sounds weird if you are antisocial but with the right group it can be great. There are never any line at doors and a testament to the family who owns... read more

I have eaten at Bea's for about 40 years. It does need to be updated but I think they keep it the same because they've been in business for so long and everyone recognizes it. Everything is great! Fried chicken, bbq, slaw pinto beans, peach cobbler, white potatoes and other different veggies (I'm hungry for it while writing this review).... More

Bea's has been serving up authentic Southern cooking for as long as I can remember. Everything is still served family style in a lazy Susan so there is always seconds or thirds of your favorites. The fried chicken is fantastic. Open from 11-8 and don't let the long line fool ya, service is quick and easy.

I stopped in for a couple of meat & 3 plates to go. The friendly staff took my order and had my food ready to go in what couldn't have been much more than 5 minutes. The chicken was a bit on the dry side, but the flavor was very good. The pintos and whole potatoes were also good, but... More

Had the opportunity to go there for lunch, and got to experience what any have told me is as good a friend chicken as you are going to get. I concur. Superb. Flavorful, juicy, crunchy. I could have eaten 10 pieces (but wanted to survive the meal!). Sides are excellent. Atmosphere is classically modest, and the folks serving you are... More

The food is placed on a Lazy Susan at round tables. The food just keeps coming out without your being asked if you want more. When we were there was still enough left for a large family, but it gets thrown out. Terribly wasteful system.

I like the concept and the old fashioned atmosphere, but the place was worn, old, and dinghy. The servers and cashier were just rude and grumpy. The food was bland and boring. How is this place still in business?!

Oh my gosh. The best fried chicken you will ever ever ever eat. Fast friendly service. Worth trying this place out. I will never head south without driving through Chattanooga. You could say for me all roads lead past Bea's.

Nothing fancy, just good Southern country food and lots of it. The chicken is great, and the staff is friendly and efficient. Been here since the 50s or so, with the same family running it.

I have been eating at Bea's for over 50 years and it is the same quality now as it was then. If you want unlimited food the best you have ever had this is it.
