Love The Chicken and BBQ

I have lived in Chattanooga all of my life. Bea's has been in Chattanooga a LONG time (not sure the exact number of years but I recall eating there as a child - 40 years ago). The chicken is wonderful. Has a slight sweetness to it. I also love the BBQ and cole slaw. If you do not mind potentially... read more

We had dinner at Bea's early on a Saturday, and we were glad we went early because the place filled fast! Great old-fashioned southern cooking. The unique manner in which the food is served is really something. In the middle of the table is a big lazy susan filled with condiments and a pitcher of sweet tea and a pitcher... More

What an experience. Old school all you can eat family style southern cooking. It really is worth seeing and experiencing if you are in the area. The staff was so nice and helpful. The food was great especially the fried chicken and the pasta. Peach cobbler was outstanding.

The food is "made from scratch" and delicious!! Food is brought continuously to the "lazy susan" table you share with a large group (or strangers who've been seated at your table). The restaurant has it's own nostalgic feel, especially the tables. It's about $12 or $13 each, but nobody walks away hungry. Food is brought to the table until you... More

The food at Bea's is served family-style and the server made sure the bowls were never empty. Overall, our family of 6 thought the food was good and we definitely did not leave hungry. The prices are very reasonable too. My only wish is that there was more than one choice for dessert! I definitely recommend this restaurant, especially for... More

Bea's has been around since the 60's, and not much has changed since then. All of their food is served on the lazy susan in the middle of the tables, and you get seated with random people. If you don't like socializing, I don't recommend it, but otherwise, I have always met interesting folks here. The choices are meager, but... More

We went because it came highly recommended. The food was just okay. The potato salad and Cole slaw was already sitting out and starting to harden. Multiple serving plates were dirty. The food was lukewarm as was the service. The facility needs a good scrubbing. I can usually tell if a place is having a off night. This was more... More

This has been around a long time. It is family seating so unless you go with a group you may be sitting with a table of strangers. Best fried chicken anywhere. Bar-B- Q is very good for a non bbq place. All veggies are good, and save room for peach cobbler.

Good food and a good value. Love to support local venues and non chain places and this is it. Great atmosphere, laid back fun place to eat. Your basic southern staples from fried chicken to sweet tea no frills good food.
