Ate here late one night... I was not expecting much due to the hour and the tourist location downtown near the aquarium. However, I was pleasantly surprised that warm bread was served prior to our meal. If you are looking for something filling but not fried, try the chicken Waldorf salad. Great combination of chicken, apples, cranberries and greens.

When we checked into our B&B, we were looking for some place with a wide menu. Big River Brewing Company was recommended. The first night we were in a bit of a hurry and ordered burgers. They were very nicely done and reasonably priced. Since this is a brew pub, I tried the Vienna Lager and the Octoberfest beers. Both... More

We were going to dine across the street at the Easy Bistro, but when we walked in the door, we felt so UN-Easy that we left. Black and white and stark is not our thing, so we went back across the street to the Big River where we'd enjoyed a beverage between visiting the two aquarium buildings. Good choice. We... More

This is really a happnin' place. We were there early for dinner and it was packed with couples, families, and "more mature" diners. T.he servers AND the manager were hustling. Sara said it was unusually busy for a Thursday night but she wasn't complaining. Their light craft beer, Vienna, is excellent and I'm not too much of a beer connoisseur.... More

Awesome, awesome, awesome... Late Night Dinner for our group, and the two waiters were absolutely awesome. Unfortunately, I did not write down the names of the two waiters, but they were wonderful hosts. Everyone's food was great or excellent, and the drinks were kept full (adult or otherwise). We had 25 in our party and the kitchen covered us, so... More

Looking for something different from the chains and found Big River near the Hamilton Place Mall. Menu consists of something for everybody and a plethora of their craft beers to wash it down. I ordered the Bacon Chicken Mac-n-Cheese and it was delicious, but not for anyone with cholesterol problems! It was loaded with a variety of tasty cheeses, bacon... More

Went here because was highly recommended. Ordered some fish taco appetizers and a hamburger. The fish and toppings on the taco was great the tortilla the fish was on was lacking. Burger was just an average burger. The waitress was super friendly and the beer was really good. If I return to the restaurant will try something different.

Sports barn, with tables, TVs all showing sports (but quiet,) pool tables, and several separate parts to the place. Nice menu, plenty of choice and some wonderful beers. Food was fast, plentiful but not ridiculously huge. Well cooked. Not too greasy, and spiney just right. All and all, a good night. I'd go here with a crowd.

We met some friends here for dinner. The place is beautiful. Parking easy. The beer is fabulous and our server was very knowledgable. The food was very good. I had the ribs and they were great. The pizza was also yummy! But save room for the desserts... The carrot cake is moist, flavorful, awesome cream cheese icing and HUGE! So... More

This place is a true delight. From the attractive exterior, the pretty interior, the choice of dining indoors or out, the great service, the delicious food, and the great cold micro brews, this place is a don't miss. I was greeted warmly, seated quickly and waited on promptly. My server was attentive and very helpful with recommendations. He recommended the... More
