Five goods friends share dinner following a meeting that we all attend. We try different restaurants....always want this to be an enjoyable experience. Back Inn has elegant dining...extensive menu....great salads & unusual bread.

My wife and I had been driving much of the day; so when we checked in to the Bluff View Inn, we were pleased that there was a restaurant across the street we could walk to. The waiter brought us an amuse bouche, which tasted good; but as best we could figure out talking with the waiter, it was some... More

Stopped in for dessert and coffee by the fire on a cold night, and it was wonderful! Gracious service, very welcoming staff. The bread pudding dessert was delicious.

We have not been here in a long time but when there was a wait at two other restaurants we decided to come back to our old favorite. Wow! This was a birthday dinner for me with my husband and cousins. We got a lovely table in a wood paneled room with a fire in the fireplace right next to... More

The service was GREAT! Also, we had a table that overlooked the Tennessee River. WOW! The menu acomodates vegetarians and the waiter worked with my husband to provide a lactose-free meal. However, we were disappointed with the food. I ordered the FRIED GREEN TOMATOES and the tomatoes were so fibrous, I couldn't eat them. My husband ordered the GRILLED DIJON-MARINATED... More

We have eaten at Back Inn several times and the food and service is always great. Brad was our server and he was very friendly and did a great job. He even went across the street to the bakery to get me gluten free flat bread....it was delicious with the asiago bean dip. Yummy! Always a great atmosphere for a... More

Dined in quaint outdoor seating area with a great view of the Tennessee River. Loved the pomegranate martinis and couldn't believe how inexpensive our bill was. Shared fried green tomato appetizer and plum caprese salad and loved both of them. Entrees were delicious and our waiter was very personable and fun to talk to. We arrived earlier than reservation and... More

Nice decor and many tables with excellent views of the Tennessee river. Plenty of outside seating if your prefer. Decent menu and wine selection with reasonable prices. I had the Baked Seafood Gratin, which was OK, but with way too much cheese that smothered the taste of the seafood. My wife had the fish of the day which was well... More

We ordered the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. They had goat cheese and bacon on them. FABULOUS!!!! Then we had a pork tenderloin and a ribeye ordered for dinner. They came with veggies and mashed potatoes. All of it was amazing. The bread and butter were great too. Would certainly eat here every time I'm in Chattanooga.
