We have lived in Chattanooga for a few years and have never visited this restaurant. We were surprised by how good the food was. Shrimp appetizer, Filet and steak was great. Also had the bread pudding.

My daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful dinner at this beautiful venue. Our waiter was very attentive and pleasant. I had the seafood gratin and my daughter had the pork tenderloin. Plentiful portions! We had the lobster bisque and seafood rolls as appetizers and needless to say - we have enough left for another meal! Parking is tight, but if... More

Beautiful view and setting. Great service. Unfortunately the food did not match the setting. Sometimes creativity just does not work. There are flavors and food combinations that just are not compatible. To be more specific: duck confit and demi glace taste like pot roast...duck lovers love duck or they would have ordered beef or veal. The gnocchi was not light... More

Loved it all! Went in the evening and sat in the back where the patio is all glass and just loved the look of all the lights lit up in town at night. Romantic setting

Wonderful view of the river and we have always had good meals there. We go for special occasions. Last Easter I went with friends and it was pleasant.

Really nice spot but there seems to be a lack of organization. The wait staff are condescending and seem to be all doing their own thing. Also terrible wine list. Obviously they only want to sell overpriced bottles. They were out of Chardonnay by the glass and were reluctant to open a bottle!

There are several dinner options. I actually had an espresso rubbed New York strip that was cooked to perfection. My husband had the crab stuffed filet also perfectly prepared. For dessert I had the Heath bread pudding. Absolutely wonderful. Staff also very pleasant and attentive.

This restaurant is a gem that few know about. My husband and I came upon this place by accident while out exercising and have been here once a month since then. It is in the Chattanooga art district. The upper floor is the Inn while the first floor is the restaurant and the building is beautiful. The food is the... More

My husband and I went to the Back Inn Cafe for dinner last weekend. I made a reservation earlier in the day, and they were very accommodating. I asked to sit outside, and apparently there were only tables for 5 left for the time we wanted. They did not turn us away, but instead let us have the table for... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants but this last visit was not so good. It took 45 minutes to get anything to drink. Our lobster bisque was barely warm and had an off taste. We could not eat it and sent it back. The quail was I edible for me as well. Our bread which is usually served warm... More
