Good bacon Bloody Mary's and Mimosa's to start. Very good quality Tuna and Eggs Benedict subsequently. The bread pudding for dessert was worth the visit and could be a destination dessert!!!
Husband Jon & I used to love this restaurant, but after this weekend, I doubt we'll be back. We
went out with friends, and we all thought we would really enjoy the ambience and the wonderful food. Oh boy, were we wrong!
First annoyance: the restaurant did not have our first or second choice of wines. We ended up ordering...

Great river views from atop the bluff. The food is exceptional. Our server was the best waitress I have had in a year! very personable and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant for date night, or for a business meeting.
We were celebrating a birthday and decided to "upscale" it a bit. It was about 7:30 in the evening. Our male server brought out water for each of us. He finally brought out bread after we asked for it! The bread was cold, but we were so hungry, we ate it quickly. This server never said anything to us, except...

Went to Back Inn Cafe bc the restaurant we were heading to had a wait and this restaurant did not. Wasn't terribly crowded and 8:15 at night and when we asked for bread the waiter informed us they were out of bread. In my many, many years of eating in all kinds of restaurants have never encountered that. Running out...

The Back Inn Cafe is located at the Bluff View Inn in the CG Martin House in Chattanooga's Bluff View Art District. The food is the draw here, though the room is lovely and some tables have great views of the Tennessee River. Scallops were especially good and perfectly prepared. Wine list is pricey, but with a good selection. Staff...

There are guest rooms upstairs. Drinks and wine were good. Salads, a Wedge and a Cesear, were both excellent and...

Went to dinner sponsored by the Aquarium tonight. The food and wine pairings were excellent! I even tasted squid for,the first time here because I trusted them to do it right. Char was fantastic! Bread pudding was the best I ever ate! Great dinner as always!
With three children at home, my husband and I rarely treat ourselves to such as nice place but we were in Chattanooga on a weekend away and ate here based on word of mouth reviews and was able to take advantage of a Groupon offer. Everything was excellent - the food, the service, the atmosphere. The view of the river...
