Unique items...Great place for a date

Hubby and I dinner here one rainy night during our Chattanooga visit. He had a local beer ($5) which he said was unique but not bitter so he enjoyed it. I had a Spiked Apple Pie martini ($8) which was very good. They brought out fresh, hot bread which was very good. Then hubby had a cup of... read more

Brought my family here for pre easter dinner. There were 6 of us. We were all disappointed by the taste, portion size, service and time it took to get food. They were not busy at all. We left hungry and disatisfied. Had to go eat at another place after we left there. I was really looking forward to eating there.... More

Enjoyed a great tasting shrimp and grits with andouli sausage at 212. It is good to know that their food is often locally sourced and organic. The atmosphere was pleasant but not outstanding. The service was good. It is nice to have free parking at a downtown restaurant.

This was our first visit to Chattanoga, first meal, and it was delightful. We had the seafood bisque (lots of shrimp and scallop, strong seasonings), fried green tomatoes (just a bit overcooked), duck breast, and pesto chicken (chicken tender, pesto not overwhelming, risotto first-rate) and 'trio' plate of three tiny dessert samples. Wine list is exceptional (broad and unusual selections... More

We have had many fine meals at several restaurants in Chattanooga, but my wife and I agree that the food and the dining experience at 212 Market are consistently the best. For a recent lunch, we each had the bisque, which, as usual, was exquisite. (We recently had the bisque at a "fancy" restaurant in Las Vegas for twice the... More

The menu is excellent; a nice variety of foods with an excellent, creative cocktail menu too. I enjoyed by Bohemian (gin and elderberry). We shared several appetizers, all of which were tasty. The cheese sampler had 3 cheeses (reportedly they were local or at least from TN; the waiter could not ID them when they were served); the Georgia Quail... More

This is a great place to eat in Chattanooga, and is just a few steps away from the aquarium. There is a wide variety of foods on the menu and the shrimp and grits was AWESOME!

I had the pleasure of having a business dinner here recently with a small group. Our customers chose the restaurant and it was a good pick in my opinion. Upon entering you can see that the establishment cares about its wine patrons. There were several prevalent presentations of the inventory to be seen. The interior is a nice open space... More

Our enjoyed a dinner here recently for about 40 people in a private dining room, so I can't comment on the service one would get in the public dining room. (Ours was adequate and predictably a little slow. Our group leader should have sprung for one more server to eliminate the gaps between courses. The coffee and dessert weren't available... More

I'm always looking for a new local restaurant whenever I go to a different city and I certainly found it in this excellent restaurant. It is advertised as Vegan, Vegetarian restaurant and I suppose it is, but I am neither vegan nor vegetarian and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had a vegetable soup to warm up as it was... More
