Farm to table; excellent food but very slow service

The menu is excellent; a nice variety of foods with an excellent, creative cocktail menu too. I enjoyed by Bohemian (gin and elderberry). We shared several appetizers, all of which were tasty. The cheese sampler had 3 cheeses (reportedly they were local or at least from TN; the waiter could not ID... read more

This is a great place to eat in Chattanooga, and is just a few steps away from the aquarium. There is a wide variety of foods on the menu and the shrimp and grits was AWESOME!

I had the pleasure of having a business dinner here recently with a small group. Our customers chose the restaurant and it was a good pick in my opinion. Upon entering you can see that the establishment cares about its wine patrons. There were several prevalent presentations of the inventory to be seen. The interior is a nice open space... More

Our enjoyed a dinner here recently for about 40 people in a private dining room, so I can't comment on the service one would get in the public dining room. (Ours was adequate and predictably a little slow. Our group leader should have sprung for one more server to eliminate the gaps between courses. The coffee and dessert weren't available... More

I'm always looking for a new local restaurant whenever I go to a different city and I certainly found it in this excellent restaurant. It is advertised as Vegan, Vegetarian restaurant and I suppose it is, but I am neither vegan nor vegetarian and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. I had a vegetable soup to warm up as it was... More

My friend and I wanted to try a new place we had never been. Because of her gluten allergy and 212's gluten free options, we gave it a try. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The decor and ambiance was very pleasant and they were very accommodating in seating us by the window. Our server was very nice and had... More

You needn't be a vegan to enjoy the fare at 212 Market. Wife and I enjoyed dinner here on a cold Friday night. Staff was friendly. Decor is not elaborate but it's clean and relatively quiet. Waiter Paul was a bit slow to get us started but warmed up as the evening wore on, even combining the grilled trout with... More

Whenever I visit Chattanooga, I make a point to eat at 212. The menu accommodates diets of those listed in the title of this review. I have found that in the South, most restaurants have one vegetarian entree. But 212 has several vegetarian entrees. We liked the food so much that we ate lunch here 2 days in a row!!... More

Amazing! Food was great. Service was great. Prices very reasonable. Ate lunch and had spinach salad and split grilled pimento cheese sandwich with bacon, lettuce and tomato with my sister. She had the fried green tomato salad. All the food was great. The bread while you wait as super. We were so full we had no room for dessert. Plan... More

Uses local and organic vegetables and is prepared very well. I had a lovely chat with the bartender, which I enjoyed since I was there alone. The scallops I ordered were cooked perfectly!
