You know the place I am talking about. You walk in and you already know the menu. The #14 is three items, two covered with a red sauce and the third covered with a white sauce that you presume is somehow related to cheese. We seem to have a glut of those restaurants that all have the same menu items.... More

This is known to be the best place for genuine Mexican street tacos. While the tacos were not as good as the ones I've enjoyed on the streets of Mexico (the steak was a bit over-done and the tacos could have used more onions and cilantro) they were still good and the tostadas were fantastic.

If you are hungry for Texmex, if you are thirsty for a pitcher of margaritas, if you want to hear a mariachi band, or if you are looking for a complete Hispanic dining experience with all the ambiance, this is not your place. However, if you are looking for a place to get great tasting freshly prepared food that is... More

We've heard about this spot and tonight was the night to check it out. We stopped by after work and were seated right away. There are four or five seats inside and it was a neat little place. The service was great the owner was really nice and had a great attitude. The food was awesome. I had a chorizo... More

Upon asking a local for a recommendation for a restaurant, and suggesting Mexican to him...he promptly spoke up to try Taqueria Jalisco. The restaurant is very small, and I was alone so I ordered take out. Order was ready within 5 minutes. The guacamole, salsa, and chips are amazing! My dinner was pretty good (do not remember what it was... More

Stumbled upon this quaint little place by accident. A few tables inside to hold about 12 people max. The food was excellent! Would highly recommend this to anyone staying in the Chattanooga area.

This is possibly going to be my shortest review to date. Why? In the case of Taqueria Jalisco, there truly is no review that can do this restaurant justice. There is something very rare and magical that happens when "EVERYTHING JUST WORKS" in a culinary experience, and that is exactly what occurred when my wife and I visited Taqueria Jalisco.... More

We tried the chips and salsa and they were great. We had the chorizo, al pastor, and shrimp tacos. All were amazing, fresh, and one of my favorite tacos of all time especially the chorizo. We wanted to go back before we flew out but they were closed on Sundays. Would love a taco right now from there. Yum

This place is a real hidden gem. Most of the locals still don't know about it... but the ones who do, visit frequently.

After reading the reviews I thought that I would try this place out today and was somewhat disappointed. I ordered the chips and salsa ($3.00) and a burrito ($7.00) and a large Arizona Ice Tea ($1.75). The chips were cold, although the salsa wasn't too bad, the burrito was ok and was big in size; now for us TRUE southerners,... More
