Great Authentic Italian food in Chattanooga

Boccaccia is, hands down, my favorite Italian restaurant in Chattanooga. I love the atmosphere. It's quiet and simple. I love the owner. He seems kind of crazy, which more me is a plus! And I love the food. My favorite dishes are the Bruschetta, any of the salads, and the pomodoro.

We read the reviews and thought we give it a try. The food display was impressive but the ambiance was not. There was only one waitress, who's husband was the chef, that wasn't able to manage all of the patrons. The salad was good, the chicken was flavorful but the pasta portion was just enough for a 6 year old.... More

There is no doubt that the food here is yummy! However, there are a few things you should know. Even though they say that they welcome children, there aren't any high chairs available, so you have to bring your own if you have a little one in tow. Doesn't seem that "family-friendly" if they don't even provide high chair options.... More

I am writing home to tell you about the best fettuccini Alfredo I have ever eaten. I told myself that I wasn't going to order Alfredo because it is usually heavy, but I had done a bit of walking around town and across the bridge so I was famished and my resolve was weakened.

This hidden restaurant serves delicious pasta that they make on site. It is really deliciously different. The chicken stuffed with cheese and ham was good but the fettucini that came with it was outstanding. The lasagna was excellent too. The meal and atmosphere were enjoyable.

My husband and I have visited Boccaccia on many occasions and the food is always fantastic. I don't think I've ever tried anything that was bad. I've been on date nights and with large groups and I think the setting of the restaurant is better suited for small parties. It's a little lacking in ambiance, but the food and service... More

It took us 10 minutes to find the restaurant, which should be a message to the owners, but the search was worth the effort. The service was efficient, friendly, and caring. The food was worth returning for, and the context, once found, was intimate and comfortable. We will return soon.

This was a business dinner, but we were still able to appreciate the qualities of this quaint little restaurant. The entrees were traditional Italian with some options rather unusual in the US. I had skewers of scallops wrapped in cured meat and shrimp. It was very tasty, but dried a little. The crème brule was perfect, and the wine list... More
