Best fried chicken and a cold 40 ounce brew.

This is just great fried chicken! Perfectly prepared and peppery, 40 ounce beers (or a 32 if you get a Corona) help. Sides are good....mashed potatoes and beans. Atmosphere is ok....outside is best.

This is my favorite place to eat when I'm in Chattanooga. Their fried chicken is the best. They have good beers on tap. It is a fun place to come with friends and family for a good meal. I have to make a stop at Champy's every time I visit.

Ate lunch here today for the first time in over a year. Had the 2 piece white meat plate with baked beans and slaw. The chicken is good but honestly I prefer Popeye's spicy chicken and it's not nearly this expensive. Most places today charge $1.95 for tea or other drinks and that's high but Champy's charges $2.95!!! The baked... More

Always love eating here, the fried chicken is so good. Had crawfish back in the summer and the were good. The atmosphere is great and when it t is warm out sitting outside is nice. I wish the had a full bar, but I find something to drink from what they offer,

Kitschy place on ML king Blvd. We walks from our hotel but there is also parking. A couple of rooms for inside dining, outside area and a drive-through take-out window. Friendly staff (and all the servers were attractive young women). Really good fried chicken with crispy breading. I'm born and raised in the South and love fried chicken...and this is... More

Stopped here on Veteran's Day. Our server, Mandy, was sweeter than the sweet tea they served us. Her smile and affable personality lit up the room. She was very attentive and kept our tea glasses full. The fried chicken was right up there with the best!! I found myself eating the french fries faster than the chicken!! I don't know... More

A group of us were in Chattanooga on business, and when we asked the locals where we could find the best Southern fried chicken the answer was unanimous: Champy’s. We were glad we followed their advice! Champy’s is actually a small (five restaurant) chain with locations in Tennessee, Alabama and Georgia. The Chattanooga restaurant is the original. It’s located in... More

Ate here twice while on a business trip. Was recommended by people I was working with. Dumpy looking place from the outside. Not much better on the inside. Does have free parking which is huge in a downtown area. Good prompt service. Limited variety on the menu. I had the catfish dinner on my first visit. Very good. Comes with... More

Champy's is a local favorite. Great deals on delicious fried chicken along with tasty fries. We go for lunch with work friends regularly when we want to dig deep into some fried food. After work hours, the fried chicken and beer is also a welcomed treat. I try to take friends here that are from out of town. Kid friendly... More
