Chicken will never be the same

I came to Tennessee from Hawaii, and my friend took me to Champy's. It was hands-down the best fried chicken I've ever had. My tastebuds will dream of this place, even though I'm 5000 miles away.

This is definitely a bar! But we went on a Saturday mid-day and there were kids there and people under 21. They were on the out side or in the covered porch. I didn't go inside so I'm not sure if there were kids in the inside. This seems like a GREAT place for after hours. They sever 40 ounce... More

My wife and i live about 30 miles from Chattanooga and do most of our grocery shopping and eating out on the area. We have been to Champys several times and always enjoy the food. Today was no exception. Arrived around 1 and waited a few minutes to be seated. I got the 3 piece white and she got the... More

The entire time I have lived in Chattanooga all I have heard is, "ya gotta try champys".... I finally broke down and tried champys. It was ok. Didn't live up to the hype. The atmosphere was fun but nothing truly special about it. We ordered the basket of chicken, potato salad, and Cole. My daughter really liked the chicken, I... More

The prices are good, and the atmosphere is enjoyable and laid back! The fried chicken is what they're known for, and I definitely enjoyed it. I didn't enjoy the wings, as they are smoked. Overall, though, I enjoyed my visit.

I have been here twice and every time I leave happily stuffed. It is the most crispy, least greasy, best tasting chicken that I have ever day. My father-in-law never knew I could eat so much!

Reputation as the best fried chicken in Chattanooga...well founded. The chicken was crisp...very tasty...not greasy. Great sides in baked beans & slaw. Good service,,waitress was well trained...very friendly. Funky place but interesting. If you want a treat & it is fried chicken...this is the place to go.

A family and friends restuarant w/ fried chicken being the main menu (along w/ great sides and tamales). Succulent, juicy, flavorful skin, big portions - fried chicken can often fall short - this does not disappoint! Fried jalapenos are great, tamales are a must. Will return...

This used to be our little gem. We started going a couple years ago before the whole city had defiled it. Killer chicken, however the last two times we went it was a total disappointment, chicken just not quite as good. I preferred this little dive when we rolled up to watch a game on a sat night and didn't... More
