So good!

We needed a place to stop on our way from Atlanta to Nashville and we found Champy's. It was the best fried chicken I have had in a long time. I dont really like chicken on the bone but this was good. We sat outside and the atmosphere was fun. It looks like a hole in the wall but it... read more

What a unique place! Great for hanging out with friends but still friendly and inviting for families with kids. We had some of their famous friend chicken and a few sides and all was fantastic. Very busy on a Saturday around 3 but worth the wait!

Stopped here for lunch and what a great place! The atmosphere is fun and friendly. It has the look of a local dive that has been around forever but has only been open since 2009. We started with an order of tamales. Wow! Were they good! Just the right amount of spice. For our meal, we had boneless chicken filets... More

The place is cozy and does not look like much, but the food is out of this world. Do not let the "hole in the wall" look mislead you.

It was a cool, rainy day so instead of going for our evening meal here we decided to do lunch and we didn't regret it. The chicken was cooked to perfection: hot, crisp crust, tender and juicy meat, seasoned to perfection without the least hint of being greasy.. We started our meal with the Fried Green Tomatoes, also well seasoned... More

If you like good southern fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and coleslaw- this is your place! It was a fun place to eat for delicious southern fare. We also ordered the tamales for an appetizer - delicious! The sweet tea is really good too!

For years, I've heard Champy's had weekend crawfish boils during the crawfish season. Being a NoLa native, I jump on any opportunity to feast on crawfish. After thoroughly enjoying the fried jalapeño appetizer, I was very let down by the crawfish. The corn was so mushy that it was the consistency of creamed corn on the cob. The potatoes were... More

Stopped in on our way to see the Celtic Woman show at Memorial Auditorium. Great chicken and fried green tomatoes. It was a beautiful spring day . We sit outside.

I am not a fried chicken connoisseur but I've eaten my fair share. This was the best ever by far! The coating was well seasoned and crisp without being greasy. The chicken itself was very moist and tender. The sides were also excellent! We had the beans and fries. We completely finished both. We don't normally visit restaurants twice but... More

Champy's has the absolutely best chicken. My favorite is the chicken fingers and not being a fried food person - Champy's is my one exception! Not too greasy and just wonderful.
