I didn't have time to make reservations and we showed up at Champy's with almost 30 people. Although we couldn't all sit together the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The chicken is awesome!

This place is awesome but it is not for the faint of heart. Situated in Chattanooga, this chicken dive is a must for lovers of fried chicken. It looks like someone's old tin garage with a covered deck out front. There is a bar inside with table seating and tables outside under cover. There is memorabilia everywhere. There are records... If you love fried chicken & lots of it then you MUST GO to Champy's. It as that sugar shack type of atmosphere that just makes you feel you're in a in a real southern atmosphere, nothing fancy here, just great food, good brews & lots of fun.

Good food, greasy, great place to go on a weekend to drink beer, eat chicken and watch ball game on tv in the bar area. Had to sit outside because the grease smell inside was too overpowering. Service was absolutely terrible.

The crunch was perfect, would have liked a bit more seasoning..it rated in the top 3 of the best fried chicken we have ever had. It was a fun experience being an out of towner... seeing a coozie that fits a 40 oz bottle of beer, the ambience of the joint was sooo much fun.. i would def go back... More

We were visiting Chattanooga for a couple of days and a waitress (from another restaurant) told us about Champy's. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that fool you. We got there at 12:15, and got the last outside seat under an umbrella. They were packed! I had the three piece tender meal with mashed... More

I had never been to Champy's before today and man, have I been missing out! Went today with my work peeps on their recommendation. Most of us ordered the 3 piece tender dinner. They were the best chicken tenders I think I've had. The fried pickles were the bomb, too. I was impressed with the coleslaw--definitely made on sight. The... More

Fried chicken was great, a little spicy. Selections are limited, but what we had was good. No kids menu.

We went out of curiosity! The restaurant is quite small, but has a big outdoor area to eat at, too. We ordered fried pickles (omg YUM), I had the fried chicken which was the best I've ever eaten, and my husband ordered the fried catfish which he said was the best he'd had! We've been back 3 times since in... More
