We came across this restaurant by chance on a short trip to Chattanooga and were very impressed with the service quality of food and value for money. We had been travelling around the southern states so had had our fill of gumbo, but the gumbo on offer at the Public House stood up with the best of them. We also... More

We loved our server David and even the server who brought my daughter's food was friendly. Wine was good and cheese plate delicious. Main entrées were great and my creme brule was delish.

We were able to sit outside on a beautiful summer evening that felt every bit like fall! A great atmosphere if you have kids on your dinner date because it gives them room to move and a view of Market street, which kept my son entertained. Good food. Would definitely go back!

We had out of town family visiting from Memphis and we like to show them Chattanooga at night and also during the day. We had been sight seeing all day and wanted somewhere we could sit and unwind. My oldest daughter suggested the Public House. We where about 20 minutes away and I was not sure if it was a... More

Reserved a table for 10. They put us in a private nook. Great space to visit with friends away from the crowd. Food was wonderful! Desserts- a bit of a miss. The banana pudding was unusual, Peanut butter pie was too rich for our taste. Could have served the entire table. but everything else was perfect. Wonderful server.

We only spent one night in downtown and we asked our bellman for his recommendations. We looked up the menu and quickly settled on PH. We were seated right away at 7:30. Menu is very much Farm to Table. We shared a wedge salad and an appetizer of the seared scallops. Scallops so fresh and tender that I'd order as... More

We liked everything. A group of 14 had great service and all of us liked our food. We would definitely go back. It is casual and modern in furnishings. Menu is varied and a bit Southern in food type. Prices are reasonable. Not much wine selection, though. And make reservations.

We went on Saturday evening. Reservations are not necessary but do help as they got busy quick. Full bar, nice atmosphere. We had the crab cake sandwich and the salmon club. Excellent. Love the shoestring fries. Great service! We'll be back.

I visited here with a group of 18 and we were accommodated easily. The service staff were friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was plentiful and well prepared. I tried the deviled eggs as an appetizer and was a bit disappointed, as they needed more seasoning. The beet salad was excellent. I ordered fried chicken and it was tender, juicy... More
