Best fried chicken in town

Had the pork tenderloin and my wife had the fried chicken... Well she tried to eat and then I ended up stealing her food! I hoped the sides would have been a little better, but they weren't bad. Our waiter was really good and shared some of the secrets to the fried chicken preparation (hint... read more

This was my first visit to The Public House but will not be my last. Invited to lunch to discuss business and was thinking this would be a "uppity, get a little something for a lot of money" place. I was wrong. Very nice atmosphere, portions were big and delicious. The gentleman who waited on us was very attentive. Can't... More

Went with a large group of ladies for an Administrative Professionals Day lunch, and it's been a while since I'd been, almost since they opened. I love the decor, seems influenced by the Revival store next door. We had a long table in the middle of the front room, and I was intrigued by the huge black arm lights that... More

we had a great meal and great experience. Late lunch on Saturday (only open for lunch) on the patio, the weather was beautiful, but the tables are just enough in the shade to keep you comfortable. Of course the food was very good, nice twist on southern cuisine. I would like to see them upscale the beer selections a bit... More

We were travelling north and found the drive from our hotel well worth the time to the downtown area. We were greeted and sat right away. The staff offered great suggestions, pimento, fried pickles and grilled bread was a really nice starter. I had pork tenderloin and my husband had the fried chicken and positive reviews on both! We shared the... More

We found Public House while driving through downtown, and were very pleased with dinner there. It's unpretentious, but the food was amazing. Service was great, and we are still talking about the great meal. Notably: the pork belly small plate with five spice and handcrafted chow chow. Also- the salmon was spectacular. She asked how I liked it cooked- rare... More

A group of 7 went to the Public House for dinner and had a very nice evening together. The waiter was friendly, well-informed, and efficient. .The food was good all around. Some had the wedge salad, which was big enough to split. The trout was excellent as always, and the best dessert was the "real" key lime pie. Wine selection... More

Dining at Public House was nothing short of lovely. My guy and I went on a romantic weekend trip to Chattanooga and dined here on Saturday night. We arrived shortly before they closed but our server and the kitchen staff were great and very accommodating. The atmosphere is really nice; a lot of soft white, it has a very boutique... More

Wife and I enjoyed a delightful lunch in the bar area (Public House Social). Our waiter provided very attentive service and brought exactly what we ordered, customizations and all. Great food. Good price. Cozy atmosphere.
