Description: Thoughts of opening an additional concept in the southside of chattanooga...
Thoughts of opening an additional concept in the southside of chattanooga stirred in 2004. chef lindley wanted to explore true rustic italian, but incorporate regional flavor. exceptional ingredients imported from italy and quality produce delivered from local farms make this vision a reality. situated in chattanooga's rejuvenated southside neighborhood, alleia resides in the old harrington building. the fulfillment of chef daniel lindley's dream of offering simple, italian inspired cuisine opened its doors in april 2009. chef lindley's latest venture is a unique interpretation of rustic italian cuisine, using local ingredients to create an evolving menu. alleia boasts seven types of house made pasta and a custom brick oven that reaches 750 degrees for pizza making. remarkably designed by rodney simmons of revival studio, alleia captures the warmth and comfort of a traditional trattoria, while breaking new ground in present-day restaurant design. trimmed in 300 year old wood taken from the harrington building, the space can seat 150, including a striking communal table that seats 32. the porch at alleia marries the best of al fresco and indoor dining. featuring a generous wraparound banquette, climbing jasmine and views of lookout mountain, the porch provides reprieve from the bustle of the southside. please enjoy.

These folks do a great job of promoting a excellent dining experience. Service is always excellent. 5 stars for space and service. 4 star for the menu options. As a long time patron, I would like to see the menu updated with a few new options. Whatever you order it will be prepared with care served with hospitality.

I reviewed Aleia a year or so ago, and I felt compelled to review it again, due to the fact that once again, this restaurant knocked it out of the park! My husband had a meeting in Chattanooga, so I tagged along to join him in this fabulous city for a few days, as long as he took me out... More

My fiance and I are avid food lovers, here we can find anything we want from an amazing pork shoulder, to a completely vegetarian plate. The best items on the menu are their truffle oil pizza, fig pizza, pork shoulder, beef brisket, and steamed mussels. Their drinks are also top of the line. We generally get a bottle of wine... More

During my US Air Force days, I was privileged to dine at some of the finest authentic Italian restaurants... and I mean in Italy! So when it comes to the real thing, I know it well. Dinner in Italy is more than a mere meal, it's a celebration. The experience at Alleia in Chattanooga was anything but authentic. Because it... More

We have traveled to Rome for the past several years. This is one of the closest to Rome and best pizza places we have had in the U.S. The grilled arugula salad was wonderful.

I wanted to try somewhere new for my birthday and found Alleia via Trip Advisor. SO glad we went. Waiter was very helpful in explaining drinks, wines, and food. We started with bacon wrapped dates that melted in my mouth. The combo of sweet, smoky, and salty was amazing. My husband says the grilled romaine salad was the favorite dish... More
