We ended up here when another restaurant had closed right at 9 pm on a thursday. The staff were very inviting and we got seated and served quickly. We had 2 soups (Tomato was spicy and tangy while coconut was rich and slightly sweet). We also ordered puri, chapati, and garlic/Chilly naan. All the breads were solid. For the main... More

We went to Sitar tonight, and we order the same items as we do all the time, that the kids would eat but today, there was a different look and taste to the entree items, I made sure with the wait staff if this was the same item we order, and his response was there was a new chef for... More

Had dinner at this restaurant after our visit to Nashville. A good Indian restaurant with delicious items in the menu, both vegetarian and non vegetarian. Food was good and tasty worth the price you pay. Service was good and fast. Those who are longing for good Indian food can visit this place while in Chattanooga.

I have been a regular at Sitar, Chattanooga since 2006... when they were still at their old location. Of the many items I have ordered from their menu and the various times I have eaten their lunch buffet, I have never been less than 100% satisfied with the quality of the food and service. Sitar staff are some of the... More

This is a great place! They are downtown now on Market Street. I went on lunch with a friend that hasnt had Indian either. They were so polite to us they went with us to the bar and explained what the foods were. Their buffet food is mild and not spicy so dont be afraid to go try them. I... More

I normally don't like buffet style dining, however, It was lunch time and I ordered take-out. To my surprise, the food was very tasty and the service was great. I did not know what I wanted but the server walked me through it and explained each dish. This is also a sit down restaurant that offers a buffet style option.... More

Today I went to Sitar with my family around 9:00 pm and restaurant looked half full with american patrons. We got a table in the corner and we had to call the waiter to give the order. Once we gave the order the waiter never checked back with us, not to even refill water glasses. When we got the food,... More

We tried Sitar for the lunch buffet and found it to be better than some of the other Indian buffets in the area (Curry Pot was pretty awful). Sitar has a nice selection on the buffet, and the options are pretty good (but not really good) in terms of flavor. But the true test of a restaurant is when you... More

I will admit that I am not a good critic of Indian food. Rarely eat it. So my review is coming from that side of the track. The food just seem bland and all very much the same flavor. It if is supposed to taste that way then I guess I might change my rating slightly. Tried a lot of... More

The location is great and easily accessible. We were greeted and seated promptly. We ordered the dinner combination for two. We were asked how spicy we liked our food. I told the waiter just mildly spiced and that's exactly how it was cooked. The dinner was delicious and more than we could eat. We took home enough for another meal... More
