Having lived around here for 4 of the last 9 years, I never got around to partaking of the Papa K experience until today. It lives up to it's celebrated reputation by delivering solid Bar-B-Que in a unassuming, comfortable, friendly fashion. Good hambergers and pie, good service, nice place but Bar B Que is bland and mediocre at best. Eat anything but the Q.

Hello there. In general thank you very much for positive things you had to say about Papa KayJoe's BBQ. Of course, the disappointing thing for us is that you didn't care for the pork BBQ. We would very much like your input as to how we might improve that product. It seems from your bio that you live in or... More

Hours are listed wrong. Drove a long way with friends from out of state and was very disappointed. Had planned our day around it.

Love the bar-b-Que! We have eaten here beginning 13 years ago when moving to Duck River. Most of the time we pick up bar-b-que to eat at home. Love eating in though because the cornbread cakes are delicious. They have some of the best sweet tea around also! Son gets upset when it is not open on Mondays and Tuesdays... More

Devin and everyone at Papa KayJoe's treated us great! We stopped here on our 2014 BBQ Road Trip. We started in Charlotte, NC and stopped here on Saturday. We read about Devin's place online and it was worth the drive to get there. If you're anywhere near Centerville you gotta stop by!!!

I grew up in Centerville, TN and enjoyed going to Papa Kayjoe's on a weekly basis. They have the best BBQ I have ever had. Also the best sweet tea you will ever have, its even better than my wife's (hopefully she doesn't read this). This place is definitely worth the drive no matter how far away you live. The... More

Stopped in here for dinner one night while in town for the weekend. Our group of 25 showed up right before closing. We were treated with true southern hospitality! Excellent service & great BBQ! Meat was Not greasy or fatty at all. We liked this place. It's small & nothing fancy inside, but food is good & you'd don't get... More

Saw episode on Man Fire Wood on Cooking Channel and could not wait to try the BBQ. However, we knew we were in trouble after exiting our car and could not smell "anything". If there is no smell (charcoal or wood), there can be no BBQ. Went in anyway, ordered and was disappointed. BBQ was a tasteless mush. I've had... More
