Saw episode on Man Fire Wood on Cooking Channel and could not wait to try the BBQ. However, we knew we were in trouble after exiting our car and could not smell "anything". If there is no smell (charcoal or wood), there can be no BBQ. Went in anyway, ordered and was disappointed. BBQ was a tasteless mush. I've had... More

We value the opinions of all our customers and appreciate your feedback in spite of it being negative. As you can see above, all the reviews other than yours and one other are very favorable. As with you, we tried to reach the person with the other negative feedback to see what we could do to make it right, although... More

I had seen a program on cooking channel about this place and decided to try it on our road trip to Nashville. It is a fun drive in about an hour away from nashville. It looks like an old house with a welcoming front porch. The staff is very friendly and there are lots of old interesting artifacts to look... More

This is located in a rural part of Tennessee about an hour from Nashville. The BBQ is very good as are the ribs.....but the cornbread cakes that look like pancakes are fantastic. The people are friendly and it was an overall good place to enjoy some down home food

My husband and I were taking a Sunday drive and landed here - had never been here before even though we've been in downtown Centerville - the location is a tiny bit out of town, but easy enough to find. The restaurant sits on a hillside and has a nice view of the valley below. It's locally owned and run,... More

If you remember Bob Cherry's BBQ place with fondness and regret its loss to the Whitt's chain, then you should go to Papa KayJoe's in Centerville. The sauce isn't the same, but there are more choices. I mix the Hot and the Sweet! The meat is always tasty and tender - no dried hunks or overcooked bits. The serving sizes... More
