Troutdale is no longer open

Troutdale is no longer open. The website says closed temporarily, but hopefully it will reopen again. The former owner's financial troubles caused this restaurant to have to close. VERY UNFORTUNATE

I've been to Troutdale for lunch and dinner. Both experiences were great. Lunch was on the veranda, and the meal was delicious. Dinner was with a group, and it was an extraordinary value for a four course meal. The trout is as fresh as you can get. There is a tank with live fish on the premises. Loved it!

Visited The Troutdale this week and had the chicken schnitzel. I was not traditional by any means but not too bad. They are known for their fish dishes but the schnitzel sounded interesting so I went for it. Wish I had tried the fish. The restaurant is in an old house - very cool atmosphere!

This place is like having a great meal at a relative or friends. What a wonderful thing to be traveling and have the luxury of being able to stop here and not a chain restaurant with thawed frozen "delicacies". Trout dale has old fashion food and a wonderful staff and you really do fell like you are visiting friends!!! What... More

Our friends from Bristol took us to The Troutdale during our visit. It is a beautiful old house that has apparently been home to the restaurant for some time now. We had cocktails in the bar before being seated. Chris was our bartender, and made us feel right at home. He was very pleasant and engaged us in nice conversation.... More

This resturant in a little neighborhood is a don't miss in Bristol Tn. I had the 11 oz filet, my wife the scallops and the filet was melt in your mouth. The menu is a delight with lamb , salmon, steak. Our service was excellent. The wine menu had a nice variety of wines with a small price tag .... More

Dinner at The Troutdale was a great birthday experience. The food was delicious and the service by Heather was outstanding. We also appreciated the personal attention by the wine steward/bartender. We look forward to dining there more often.

We had vowed to never go back to The Troutdale after experiencing several bad meals & horrible service, but when we heard it had changed ownership & head chef, we decided to give it another try. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious & the service was impeccable. We highly recommend it & we will be back many times.

This is a four star restaurant. If you have a drink or two expect to pay about $75 for a meal. Excellent service, Linen, glassware, flowers. and decor in keeping with the room you are seated. Not your every day meal.

The Troutdale has been a favorite of ours for the last 20 years. It changed hands about 5 years ago with disastrous results. I'm happy to say that there are now new owners and a new head chef, trained by the original owners. And it shows! The food is delicious and FRESH again. The service is impeccable. Many old favorites... More
