Our friends from Bristol took us to The Troutdale during our visit. It is a beautiful old house that has apparently been home to the restaurant for some time now. We had cocktails in the bar before being seated. Chris was our bartender, and made us feel right at home. He was very pleasant and engaged us in nice conversation.... More

This resturant in a little neighborhood is a don't miss in Bristol Tn. I had the 11 oz filet, my wife the scallops and the filet was melt in your mouth. The menu is a delight with lamb , salmon, steak. Our service was excellent. The wine menu had a nice variety of wines with a small price tag .... More

Dinner at The Troutdale was a great birthday experience. The food was delicious and the service by Heather was outstanding. We also appreciated the personal attention by the wine steward/bartender. We look forward to dining there more often.

We had vowed to never go back to The Troutdale after experiencing several bad meals & horrible service, but when we heard it had changed ownership & head chef, we decided to give it another try. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious & the service was impeccable. We highly recommend it & we will be back many times.

This is a four star restaurant. If you have a drink or two expect to pay about $75 for a meal. Excellent service, Linen, glassware, flowers. and decor in keeping with the room you are seated. Not your every day meal.

The Troutdale has been a favorite of ours for the last 20 years. It changed hands about 5 years ago with disastrous results. I'm happy to say that there are now new owners and a new head chef, trained by the original owners. And it shows! The food is delicious and FRESH again. The service is impeccable. Many old favorites... More

My husband and I eat at the Troutdale when we want a really special place to go for dinner. The food is always great. They have specials that are very delicious. The wine list has a good selection and they have a special mixed drink list as well. The different trout dishes are excellent and the steaks are cooked perfect.... More

Had an excellent dinner here in March. Great ambience in old house, with very good wine recommendation from the owner, who gave us an excellent Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The menu is limited, but with choices enough. The escargots in garlic butter were delicious, as were the fish dishes we chose for entrees. I wish we lived closer. Well-trained staff, clean... More

Fabulous restaurant in attractively decorated old house. This restaurant has been top notch ever since it opened. You can take anyone there from out of town from even big cities and they will be impressed. I've never ordered any dinner there that wasn't wonderful. You want to eat slow and enjoy every morsel!
