Delicious food; just a little noisier than I'd like

Come to Wild Iris for the food. It's great. It is a small place, and can get a bit noisy during peak hours, so it's not the perfect place for a romantic lunch. However, the prices reflect fair value, the food is fresh, and prepared with care. Service is friendly. Recommended.

Our food was very good, but the menu was not as appealing as some restaurants. We attended with children which probably did not add to the enjoyment as it was difficult for the children to find something on the menu.

If you find yourself south of Nashville in the Brentwood TN area, you can't go wrong at Wild Iris. Part of the "Yellow Porch" family of bistros, this is a perfect choice for an upscale family or relaxed business dining experience. The location is admittedly not sexy. It's in a shopping center off the main drag of Franklin Road near... More

Never disappoints. Love their Wild Iris Salad(+/- Salmon), mussels appetizer, bread, and the entree's are always cooked just right. Desserts vary with consistent Creme Brulee' and good variations of bread pudding. Intimate atmosphere, with an upbeat crowd.Wait staff attentive, but not overbearing.

Dined at this busy suburban restaurant on a Thursday evening and waited 40 minutes from order to food. Kitchen is small and the staff seemed in no great hurry. Larger parties had their food sit as all orders were completed. Maybe I was just at the wrong hour but there was no urgency and the delicious bread service and cocktail... More

We had a nice dinner here. Very good fresh fish and good salads. Service was good. Our only complaint was the chairs. They were small with wooden seats and backs. We found them to be quite uncomfortable. They might be OK if you were having a quick meal but we were there for a nice dinner. I hope they change... More

Wild Iris serves creative dishes in a compact space with a lively bar as well. Sat down early for our reservation and promptly ordered apps and main dishes. Excellent bread with oil brought to the table. Then had the pork belly with Asian sauce that was very good. Salad contained everything fresh. Blackened shrimp with grits was an interesting combination.... More

Having frequented this restaurant for over 12 years for lunch as well as dinner, this is probably one of those with just slightly more pluses than minuses. The minuses: minuscule portions of fresh starch less vegetables with an entree (three pencil thin asparagus for example). Sort of skinflinty in a place like this. Salads tend to be a little on...
