Went with a large baseball group and not only was the food wonderful, our server was fantastic. The sides really steal the show and it is hard to beat the Chicken Fried Chicken. Corn bread was dry, but rolls were tasty. Defintely a good spot if you are craving southern comfort food without the typical Nashville tourist scene.

Vittles is a great little restaurant run by very nice people. Service is always friendly and fast. The food is a step above your average meat and three. The veggies are especially tasty. I love their limas and corn. They have a large selection of sides and each day add a few as specials for that day. If you are... More

Went here for Sunday breakfast. Got the brunch buffet. Sadly most of the food was barely warm the home fries were actually cold. The only saving grace was the freshly made omelette which brought my food score to average. The waitress never heard of ice coffee! From my seat I could see the kitchen. Saw the chef climb onto and... More

We stopped here for a quick bite before leaving town, and we're glad we did. It was a bit crowded (being Sunday brunch hour), but we were still able to get a table and prompt service. The waitress was friendly and the food came out quick. Price was reasonable and the food tasted like it should.

A real down home cooking restaurant. Food was excellent and service was very good. The pot roast was cooked perfectly and the mashed potatoes were lump free.

Vittles has great Southern cooks who know how to make meat & 3 Veggies a great experience. Small restaurant but well worth going for lunch. You won't regret it.

Vittles was a difficult place to evaluate. It was recommended by a friend who provided good directions. It is not easy to spot from the main roads. Thoroughbred Lane appears to only go west but if you turn east (looks like O'Charley's parking lot) you drive ride into it. Vittles is an old Southern style meat and three (side dishes).... More

I have visited this restaurant 3 times over the past 8 years on my way to Florida. The food has been very good each time, and the service is excellent. You can find old favorites like meatloaf, "real" mashed potatoes, lima beans, black-eyed peas, hand-battered catfish, etc. If you want a simple, very tasty meal that you won't find anywhere... More

I must first say that I have eaten at Vittles only once. I ordered the meatloaf, which was actually pretty bad. It was just bland, very little taste, and seemed to be poor quality meat -- or it had way too much breading/oatmeal whatever they used, I had to pour ketchup all over it to give it any flavor. I...
