I ate lunch here today and was very excited with all the positive reviews and the street appeal after driving by a couple times while I've been in town. The inside is just as cool as the outside and that was a huge plus because I hate eating at BBQ joints that look like a McDonald's. However, the food was... More

Loved the authentic, hole in the wall atmosphere. Tin roof, cooler filled with ice, locals more than travelers. Great bbq and side dishes and pleasant wait staff. Perfect casual place for bbq and a beer.

I have enjoyed bar-b-que for more than fifty years, but I did not enjoy it this time. The service and atmosphere were pretty good, but the brisket was much too tough. I was with my wife, son and daughter-in-law. Their food was subpar at best. I cannot recommend this place, nor will I go back.

We went as s large group and it was great. You don't go here for the decor you go for the food. Good food fair price. Chose this over the highly publicized places.

Traveling across the country by car and trying to dine in good local eateries. Judge Bean's meets this criteria to a tee. Not fancy (Paper towels, not napkins) The food was great and the service genuinely good (thanks Katy). The brisket was wonderful.

Our last night of a Nashville vacation we wanted authentic BBQ. This was the perfect place with options for non BBQ lovers. Our ribs were fall off the bone tender w/good sauce. Our server was delightful and very accommodating to our party of 9. Great atmosphere with thick buckboard tables and country ambiance.

I've had lots of BBQ over the years, but do not tend to like vinegar based BBQ sauces like the ones found at Judge Bean's. This is really a personal preference and not really a knock against Judge Bean's as you may really like their sauce, I did not. I arrived and placed my order for take-out because the restaurant... As a native Texan, Judge Bean unsurprisingly and thankfully gravitates toward brisket rather than pulled pork. A man after my own heart. He is also apparently a descendent of the infamous Texas lawman Judge Roy Bean, which is just awesome. Part of me was anticipating a counter-service barbecue joint, but Judge Bean's uses waitresses. As I frequently do when dining... More

We went to Judge Bean's BBQ this evening for dinner. It is a fun place and the service was wonderful however the BBQ is only average. I had the Combo Plate with brisket and chicken. The brisket was good but the chicken was over cooked.

Great staff, awesome food! Beef Brisket is a must and ribs are cooked to perfection. Good amount of TV's if you want to catch any event.
