Great food and service.

A Texan visiting East Tennessee has to have his BBQ. Friends that we were visiting introduced us to this great place. The pork sandwich was very good. I also enjoyed hand cut fries and barbecue beans. Great food.

Heard about this place through a local. He said they wee the best in TN. Had to try it out and we are so glad we did. Did not know what to order and the waitress was great help and made sure that we sampled the best stuff on the menu. We had the barbecue sandwich and shared a fry.... More

What can I say that hasn't already been said, the BBQ beef sammitches are amazing. The homemade blue cheese is to die for, you will lick the bowl, I swear. Now just keep in mind this place is back in the woods and the people are very friendly but don't be coming in acting a fool because their are people... More

I have been there many times and should have written a review a long time ago. In the south it is really hard to find bbq beef or smoked beef. Being from the midwest there are a lot of places that serve it. We always get the coleslaw on it. there hand cut fries are exellent, you might have to... More

I go frequently. Don't be surprised when they ask you if you want your slaw on the barbeque. That’s the way it’s done. I ask for mine on the side. The side beans are excellent. Some things you may want to get for the group if you have 4 or so are: a blue cheese dip (I’m not sure what... More

We had a great time at this locally famous family barbecue restaurant (people drove 2 hours for Saturday night dinner) but the food was not as delicious as its reputation would suggest. We were thinking of take-out but the hostess charmed us into staying. We ordered pork and beef barbecue platters. The meat was quite dry. The buns were store-bought,... More

If the walls plastered in celebrity photos isn't enough to convince you this place is one of the best BBQ joints around, then perhaps one of the multitude of foodie magazine write-ups will sway you. Their BBQ sauce is divine and makes their BBQ pork sandwich taste like heaven. Don't miss the BBQ beans though, as that is one of... More

This was my first time eating here and I can't wait to go back. First, make sure you bring your appetite when you come. The portions are huge. The fries are fresh cut and fried just like Grandma used to make. The BBQ is finger-lickin' good. I had a BBQ pork sandwich and it was huge. Add some slaw to... More

I live about 5 miles from Ridgewood and eat there every chance I get. The BBQ beans are the best! I prefer the BBQ beef with fries. The slaw is also very good. I never leave this place without being stuffed. It is always worth the trip.

Ridgewood is definitely off the beaten path, but their BBQ can't be beat. If you find yourself in East TN, this place is worth the drive. Great fries, baked beans, and BBQ sandwiches!
