Different spin on BBQ

Different from NC BBQ in that they cook boneless hams instead of whole hog or pork shoulder. They also have a unique sauce that tastes like it has some sort of oriental plum sauce in it. Just my guess but of course it is a "secret family recipe". It is almost always crowded and parking is... read more

We'd heard about Ridgewood for years. Finally got to sample the basic BBQ. It didn't disappoint. Plentiful describes the portions of the tangy sweet BBQ and generous nicely browned fries (they would make an awesome poutine). Service was very friendly, attentive and the sweet tea never went unfilled for long. Parking is at a premium. Worth the trek to find... More

If you're going to spend your time in this neck of the woods, this is the kind of place you need to visit. Down home BBQ. The cole slaw is incredible, as are the fries and BBQ beans - which may explain why we couldn't even finish the huge BBQ sandwiches that they serve. And rea$onable? I'll say... Enjoy, y'all,... Usually when I come to Ridgewood it's just me and my husband with our 2 year old. This time we brought our older two sons. They have been before but it has been a while. They were complaining about going! But, when we left they both were so happy we ate there. Service was good, we had to wait a... More

I have heard people rave about this great BBQ. If you like smoked sliced ham heated up on the grill then you may like this place. I like smoked pulled pork not sliced, but that is my opinion. Don't go here expecting ribs or brisket because they don't have it. The have steak and burgers. I think the best thing... More

We go there every time we are down to Johnson City visiting family The food is always good. The wait to get the food took longer than usual, but it was worth it. Parking is always tough to find

What they do, they do right. I just wish there were more choices. The pork sandwich was moist and flavorful but could have used a bit more slaw and a firmer bun. The beans were a wonderful mix of sweet and tangy with lots of meat cooked in. All in all, it's worth the effort to find.

Best Barbeque ever! The pork sandwich was amazing. We have been there twice and it's been consistently good both times.

We visit the area several times a year and dine in Ridgewood at least once a year. This time the food was OK. We ordered beans, french fires and beef sandwiches. We waited for about 10 minutes to even order our drinks. There were hardly any beans in the little jars they serve. It was 70% broth. Meat and french... More
