heard about this place on internet as being one of the best--is the best!! service is great-it's not a sit and dine place--order enjoy and leave. They have it together. Food is totally excellent--we asked the local visitors center and they recommended one sandwich with slaw on side--must try blu cheese side-fries are great and the baked bean were just... More

We have eaten at Ridgewood at least once a week for more years than I care to count. The sliced pork is the thing, thin sliced and plentiful. The sides are good too, especially the slaw. They have two kinds of slaw, one for sandwiches and a much better one to go with plate dinners. Don't know why this is,... More

The greasy decor only adds to the appeal of the atmosphere. Loved the food and well worth the wait!! Excellent homemade blue cheese dressing, delicious barbecue beans that should be in a class by themselves and by far the best barbecue sandwich we've eaten! Tempted to say it was terrible just to keep the lines at bay for our next... More

I get there as often as i can. I always get the pork bbq sandwich, slaw, beans, fries and blue cheese dressing! The last time i went, a couple of weeks ago, i had a hair in my sandwich, but it happens, you can't have human beings fixing your food without this being a possibility! Just say'in and keep'n it... Don't expect gourmet service but the food is worth it! The baked beans are fabulous as is the blue cheese with crackers! Huge portions! Oh and did I mention the bar b que?! There's a reason this place has been there forever!

We have been here several times in the past few years when heading South for the winter, even though it is quite a bit out of our way. They simply have the best BBQ in the state. We get the BBQ pork plate, with the meat piled high over excellent home made fries, and with a side of excellent cole... More

Ridgewood is not that easy to find but worth looking for it. The pork is shaved thin and piled high. It is not fatty like some barbecue you get. The sauce is on the sweet side which was very flavorful. Everyone told us to try the blue cheese dip. I do not like blue cheese but must admit that it... More

A group of us went to Ridgewood Barbecue yesterday. The waitstaff seemed confused and at one point asked us to split up and sit at different tables to accommodate them so their stations would be equal. We did not. We put in our orders, which ranged from a BLT, Catfish Dinner, BBQ Pork Sandwich to salad. I tasted the BBQ... More

Without a doubt some of the best bbq you will find in the south. The portions are huge so go hungry. Don't miss the opportunity if you are anywhere close. Check the hours before you go though.

The barbecue here is good, but the majority of my friends go here for the blue cheese dressing. Where else do they have "a bowl of Blue Cheese Dressing" on the menu? We dip our fries in the blue cheese to hold us. Then we take a quart home to "maintain us!"
