Fat Larry's is not a place I will return to. Food was bad and service sucked. We tried their food on 2 occasions . The first time the food was at best so~so but the service was bad. I decided that Fat Larry's was having a bad night so we tried them again. BAD MOVE. The ribs were the worst... More

Making a trip through Memphis from South Florida always has a BBQ stop in the itinerary. Sorry but Florida is not a BBQ haven. While in Bartlett TN, just north of Memphis, I heard about Fat Larry's. My usual is Cozy Corner or Central, so I ventured to Fat Larry's. The building itself lacked charm...code word for not so neat.... More

We did take out of the BBQ pork sandwiches. The smoked meat was tasty and tender, the sauce is on the sweet side so if you do not like sweet sauces do not get original. Get the cole slaw on the side if doing take out so the buns do not get soggy. Fat Larry's is reasonably priced and very... More

Lunchtime sandwich plate was delicious and filling. They have a good selection of sides--the reasonable price includes two choices. Dining area was clean and service was quick. We found Fat Larry's by accident in 2013 and came back on purpose in 2014. We plan to eat on their patio on our 2015 trip to Memphis!

Good food for the price. Atmosphere not anything special, but the food is worth it. You have to try the banana pudding.

Food? Nasty. Service? Awful. Owner? Fat, loud & very rude. Eat BBQ elsewhere. The place smells like old grease and the servers think they are better than you

Excellent food but service left a lot to be desired. Great choices on the menu. Wait staff seemed stressed out as she was the only one waiting tables.

great BBQ, attentive service make this a must visit when you are in Memphis next, The food is great! We sampled ribs, brisket, and pulled pork and it all lived up to the hype. Fat Larry does a great job and having a meal here will be worth your time.

This place used to be great! But now the food has gone way down hill. No flavor and tasted very old. We won't be back again.

My friends and I stopped by Fat Larry's on a whim to get a taste of the famous Memphis bbq before we actually got into the heart of Memphis. The fried pickles were pretty good, the ones at the bottom of the basket were soaked in grease (so much that we didn't eat them). I had a pulled pork sandwich.... More
