Good food poor service

After a long day of travel we decided to stop here for a bite to eat. We seated ourselves and waited about 9 minutes for someone to offer us a cup of coffee. We decided to go to the Grainery for breakfast. Big mistake! We had to wait 40 min for our food and when we finally got it, it was cold. The waitress with the dark hair and pierced toung didn't seem to care. We asked to talk to the manager and he said, "What do you want me to do about... More

Just left Watertown- great city. We always have fun when we visit. Last February we were stranded due to weather & ate at the Grainery 3 days in a row. I will not go back until I see a new management notice. Three friends & I stopped for lunch/ breakfast. Our waitress seemed like she wished we hadn't & now... More

I have to travel to Watertown a lot and this is a good place to sit down and get a meal while on the road. I can't say this is the best meal I've ever had but the environment is neat, the service is good, and it's relaxing after being on the road for a while. I had the nachos,... More

Advertised as a favorite eating place for the locals but proved disappointing. Food and service was marginal - will not return.

We've eaten here several times. In our experience we have not been disappointed. The buffalo burgers are a treat and the portions are decent.

The first clue was when we asked the waitress if she knew anything about the road conditions. (We stopped in a ground blizzard - unsure if we should continue). Her reply, "Oh I don't know. I don't pay attention to those things." This is a truck stop on the south side of a notoriously rough stretch of road where drivers... More

We sat ourselves and after 5 minutes, finally went in search of a waitress! In the back chatting with another waitress. Special was Prime Rib, so we both ordered. Was the toughest and worst we both had ever eaten?

Heading south and just happened into this place. Had a Brisket Sandwich ad Chicken Fried Steak. Service was great, prices reasonable, food ample and very well prepared. If you are on the road in S. Dakota . . worth a stop!

Stopped by chance on our trip to Sioux Falls, South Dakota tried their buffet, what a feast! Assorted meats, potatoes, dressing, vegetables, and salad bar and dessert. More than one would expect and the service is excellent on Saturday night their Prime Rib is outstanding. The price is fair, the serving size is large for the Prime Rib and the... More
