I have been coming here since high school - that's 44 years now. It's a true home grown mid western original all-righty. Kitchy in its own parochial way. One wall has paintings from local artists, there are glass cases on a couple walls with old action figures, wait staff wear shirts emblazoned on the back with support for local law... More

The Colonial House Restaurant was busy, but we had good service and good food. I would go again. We each had an omelette. They were packed with goodies.

We were staying in Rapid City for 4 days and the Best Western Hotel recommended the Colonial House to us to try for dinner. We were not disappointed. We all had a great meal and more than enough food to eat. My husband and I both had left overs to bring home. The homemade bread is yummy. We all ordered... More

We enjoyed our friendly server and food experience. Once seated in a ''better'' area, we were able to enjoy the Colonial house experience that was given. Hope to share our experience with other travelers soon.

Our family of 4 adults each ordered something different and only one out of the 4 liked their order. The rest of us thought the food was filling but can't even remember what we ordered.

We heard about the great breakfast at Colonial House, and were not disappointed. I had the Po Boy omelette, which was delicious. My wife and son had the "short stack," which was actually three pancakes. Both said they were excellent. My other son really liked his French toast, three thick slices. Needless to say, you don't leave hungry! Our server... More

This restaurant was so welcome after the drab, unhealthy food we found in the various attractions in the area! Food was good, and the wait staff accommodated our various needs (diabetic, vegetarian, and picky grandchild), It felt like a haven to us, after our other experiences. The baked goods looked extremely inviting, although I only had the coconut cream pie... More

Service was extremely slow, and I was actually charged extra for dip for my onion rings and mayo for my burger!
