Amazing huge menu!

There was a huge variety of food here. I had a really good buffalo burger which made me very happy. Everyone of our group enjoyed their food. We would all recommend it. Although it is big - it did not see crowded. This place was recommended by our motel and they did not steer us wrong.

This looks like a restaurant where the locals eat. It was just what we were looking for. The menu had good variety, and everything is homemade: soups, bread, desserts, pasta, burgers, and steak. Everyone was very friendly. Go to Colonial if your looking for authentic, homemade food.

Wonderful dining experience. All pastries, bread, and deserts are made in house and are excellent. We tried the Castillo bread and I recommend this before dinner bread. The service was excellent and was very good at describing the various dishes we considered. I had Vinnys bada Bing pasta. Linguine noodles with andoulle sausage. Sauce was excellent and the sausage was... More

We were told by a local resident to try the Colonial House to eat and when we drove up to it we weren't sure what we were going to find but we were pleasantly surprised by the food and menu choices. They had a little bit to offer everyone from salads, steak, burgers, sandwiches and pasta. Their desserts looked good... More

The inside of the restaurant had all kinds of antiques and dolls. My kids liked to look at it all while we waited. Service was a little slow and the food wasn't bad. Kind of like a Denny's or Village Inn but with better themeing

We have visited this restaurant several times while vacationing in the Black Hills. It seems to me that the last time their prices had gone up considerably. However; the staff is friendly and the food is good.

Currently there is a great deal of street construction in front of the restaurant, but don't let this detour you to another location. The Restruaunt has been a local tried and true place to eat in Rapid City for a number of years.

Checked out the reviews before our trip and found the restaurant perfect for dinner and breakfast. Tasty, authentic American food. Certainly saw patrons who were greeted as regulars. If we had more time, I know we would have visited others. Was a nice city but didn't have time to explore

Breakfast is always delicious here, and if they have not run out of the cinnamon rolls, we have to have one (each). The coffee does not need fixings, either. Staff are friendly and service is quick. It is worth braving the construction!
