We enjoyed dinner at this busy busy place on a Friday. We got there around 5:15 to beat the crowd and glad we did because by 6 there was a line. Prices were in line. The 2 of us got out for $40 including appetizer and two entrees.

From the outside, this place looks like it would be your typical "denture haven" but the menu is surprisingly modern: walleye fingers, hummus and pita plate, spitfire pasta are all pretty good but I absolutely go here for the blue walnut salad with grilled salmon--always good!
There's a rotating selection of pies available by the slice. Sticky rolls are cookies...

My husband ate here for breakfast one morning since our hotel did not offer free breakfast and was so enamored that we returned at night for dinner. He had the elk prime rib and I had a menu special. Our waiter was attentive but not overbearing and was quick to keep our water glasses full and even brought out more...

Awesome flavor and variety of homemade desserts. Family friendly environment and family owned establishment, not a chain restaurant. Personal service, local customers are treated like family. Awesome website with menu, photos, customer comments and recipes.
We were staying across from the Colonial House at the Best Western (Great, Stay There) and got a menu from the front desk, laughed our way through that and breakfasted there three times.
I enjoy a good breakfast when I have time and the Colonial house came through! The Queen's Breakfast was my favorite, the steak was cooked just right...

I thought the service was nice and the food was good. Very down home type restaurant. I was happy with my visit!!
I went to Colonial House on the recommendation of a local and reading about it on tripadvisor. I was there at lunchtime and as expected it was busy. Parking is difficult when they are busy and I saw several cars leave because they couldn't find a spot. U was seated right away and my server was Mikayla. She was great!...

Family get together--restaurant is average in appearance leaning towards needs a make-over--food was at least hot--husbands mac & cheese-dry and tasteless-my patti melt was fine--I would say for $$$ it was way to much--could have eaten at a fast food place for cheaper and probably better
Enjoy the Buffalo Burger and they make the best carmel rolls.(Like cinnabons but with caramel) delicious.
This is a busy family restaurant. After a short wait we were shown to our table in the bar area.
The service was very efficient on a very busy night. We tried the Buffalo Barley Soup which was great. My husband had the Idaho Trout theat was great!. The portions were quite large; so we took our huge delicious desserts...
