"The Firehouse," as it is called by locals, is one of the city's most unique and interesting landmarks. --Housed within the original Rapid City firehouse, a structure built of four layer brick in 1915, the building is listed on the National Historic Register. We offer a full service restaurant and bar with indoor and outdoor dining. Experience a vibrant atmosphere with live entertainment every evening during the summer. Enjoy the musical talents of local artists every night in our beer garden in addition to live theatre most Friday and Saturday evenings. Of course, the Main attraction at the Firehouse is our uniquely flavored, hand crafted beers along with a menu of the Midwest's favorite dishes. With culinary selections ranging from salads and pasta to buffalo and gumbo, there is something for everyone at the Firehouse Brewing Company.

Ambiance better than food

A recommended stop as they have an outdoor patio and live music. I'd definitely go back for drinks. The food is was fine, but I wouldn't head back for dinner. The wings were OK. More like little fried chicken pieces than standard flavorful hot wings I'm used to...

Limited selection of their beers on tap. Service was good but kitchen was slow. It took forever for the food to arrive. Snitzel was at best fair. I would not recommend it.

The place was absolutely jam packed with people when we arrived Saturday night but we were able to secure a spot at the bar. The beer was wonderful!!! We ordered BBQ chicken nachos (kind of meager portion and a bit messy) and gumbo (lots of meat, overall ok). Good place to have a beer for sure!

Both my friend and I had to reorder our meals three times because the kitchen ran out of certain items (and didn't inform us). When the food finally came, it wasn't what we ordered. Finally got our food on the fourth try, the pork was fatty and mostly inedible. While our waitress was extremely apologetic, the manager passed blame onto... More

visited twice while in Rapid City over Memorial Day weekend. Enjoyed a blue cheese burger for lunch and came back a couple days later for dinner. Really enjoyed it he brisket platter. Can't figure out how much hey called it smoked as it had no smoked flavor.....but it was lean and tender and pretty plain. I liked it very much!... More

This restaurant is in an old firehouse and the memorabilia adds great atmosphere to your dining experience. The menu is extensive and being part of a brewery you are not short of beer choices and wine is also available at a reasonable price

We stopped in on a busy Sat night. We were told the wait would be 30 to 40 minutes but we were sat within 5. The food was great and the waitress was friendly and helpful. I was a little nervous about brining young kids on a Saturday night but it turned out fine and there were several other families... More

Loved the theme of the place. Food was pretty average. Building is an old remodeled fire station. Plenty of local brewed beers to choose from.

The downfall of many establishments is raving popularity and lack of effort or need to maintain standards and value. I came here in the '90's and things have changed. That's expected but not for the better. Popular weekend, line outside for dinner, I held the bar up for a while talking with other travelers and tourists waiting for their little... More
