"The Firehouse," as it is called by locals, is one of the city's most unique and interesting landmarks. -Housed within the original Rapid City firehouse, a structure built of four layer brick in 1915, the building is listed on the National Historic Register. We offer a full service restaurant and bar with indoor and outdoor dining. Experience a vibrant atmosphere with live entertainment by local musicians in addition to live theatre most Friday and Saturday evenings (view our website for a list of upcoming events). Of course, the Main attraction at the Firehouse is our uniquely flavored, hand crafted beers along with a menu of the Midwest's favorite dishes. With culinary selections ranging from salads and BBQ to buffalo and gumbo, there is something for everyone at the Firehouse Brewing Company.

Good food, great atmosphere

This has always been a go to place. I have yet to have a bad thing on the menu. I've never had to wait to get a table and the staff is nice and attentive. It's always packed, which is a good sign. I would definitely recommend the halibut fish tacos - delicious!

I've only had lunch here, but each one was good. They have a large selection of craft beer, and the service has always been prompt and courteous. There is outdoor seating for the good weather. The sandwiches I've had have always been good, but each cup or bowl of soup has been outstanding: obviously made in-house and very tasty. At... More

Oh my goodness. I had a platter with chopped pork served on toast along with ribs. It also came with two sides. There is no way I could have eaten this in one sitting. It was HUGE! Anyway, I ordered this for the ribs, but after the first bite of the pork I couldn't stop eating it - and I... More

The food and the service have always been good here. The beer is hit or miss depending I think on how long they've been able to let it age before tapping it. Sometimes it's malty sweet and other times it's perfect. This time the IPA was good but I had a medium bodied ale that needed a few weeks more... More

Seen all the signs advertising the firehouse, decided to try it while in town for business. Was not impressed with the beer. Ordered the sheppards pie was not totally impressed very dry. Although this was my only time visiting I probably will not return. I am sure there is other things on the menu which are great.

D Williams The craft beers are great and the food- Bison burgers are the best in the Midwest; and surprisingly the smokehouse food is awesome. I had the half rack which is like, really-two thirds of a rack and the half pound of brisket was enough for two people. If you're ever in Rapid City this is the only place... More

Food was great zero complaints on that. But to advertise mostly as a beer place the beer needs some work. Got the flight and could only stand two of them. I was expecting more. The building is awesome and as a firefighter I could stop looking at all the cool and old fire stuff.

Great atmosphere! Totally recommend the fire caps! Had the house cider and Reuben with chili, partner had the buffalo burger...All to die for!!!! Service was top notch, Preston had very extensive knowledge of the beers, menu, and also some history to the building. Seems to be the place where the locals go!
