This place shined before they lost their chef some 5-6 years ago. He went on to Panchero's in Rapid. Had the best Beef Wellington I have ever eaten...ah, well...

This review reflects the "New Management" that took over the restaurant in Jan 2013. The first time we ate at the Fireside we placed our order and the waitress brought our entre's relatively quickly. Trouble was - the food she brought us was not what we had ordered. She laughed and said she must have "punched the wrong orders into... More

This was closed last year when we visited and is only open Wednesday thru' Sat. The new owner really knows how to upgrade from the usual fare. Instead of rolls or bread, popovers! Appetizers are large and delicious, as are entrees. We didn't realize how much food we were getting the first time and had to take boxes for most... More

We were pleasantly surprised at having a fine restaurant within walking distance of our B&B - The Hisega Lodge. It was a Saturday night and although it took a while for our food to be served, we were enjoying ourselves. We had aged Prime Rib which we loved. Dessert was also yummy. A good memory of our trip to South... More

Excellant food, expensive pricing, no liquor only beer and wine, fine dining but needs liquor offered .out of the way location, limited hours. Drove miles and not open, would not recommend .staff did not know menu.

Stopped by one evening. Not very many customers and short-staffed, but I thought service and food were good. Huge french dip that I gobbled up. Only awkward part is separate menus for lounge area and dining room area. I liked the decor and think it would be a nice place for a date.

We also were happy to see the Fireside open again, but when we stopped in for dinner a few days ago, we left without even ordering. The restaurant had a number of full tables and more people were coming in. One table had food. Most had just water. There was ONE server/hostess. who put us off immediately by her attitude... More

Haven't been to Fireside in years, was excited to finally get back last night....still sad, what a total.....total, culinary disappointment. Food was almost completely inedible, besides the asparagus... Which was quite tasty, and properly cooked. Salmon Chowder,, though tasty, don't think you should have to cut up your potatoes in a bowl of soup, popovers, good idea, but tasted old... More

After hearing of the changes at Fireside and not have been here since 2004. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised. Our meal was very good and the staff very attentive. I wish them the best and I hope more people support your local restaurant.

We eat dinner at the Fireside frequently and love the new owners and their food. On our last visit, the salmon medallion special was delicious - nice crust but tender inside, and the chutney and risotto were top-notch. My husband had the chicken marsala with an onion haystack. The salads were fresh and the sorbet trio for dessert was wonderful... More
