Best food and pastries in town, loved going here to relax and study a little. Organic local food made all the difference. Please come back! I'm craving some decent food around this area!

Dakota Thyme was our first stop after arriving on an early flight into Rapid City. The French toast and egg sandwiches were decent, but the real star was the cherry cheese danish. Tart, juicy cherries atop a flaky phyllo crust, and joined by perfectly sweet cheese. It was so good we got two more to go. This place is tucked... More

Had good food and great ambience, it's a shame it closed. Had wonderful muffulettas and an excellent gumbo.

Stopped here for an afternoon coffee/tea and thought the pastries were reminiscent of Paris or Brussels - just two examples. Had breakfast there the morning we left Rapid City, wishing we had found this place sooner.

Great place to grab lunch downtown. They use only local ingredients and their pastries are amazing! They also have a great wine selection. My husband and I love to eat outside on the patio during the summer evenings.

Have eaten there and enjoyed the Muffuletta sandwich and a beer at the bar near where they make sandwiches. All food is really fresh and delish. Lots of varied baked goods in the glass case, and some things are available for sale like a gourmet market. I also purchased "lunch boxes" for a small company meeting for 15 people and... More

I was so pleased to find this unique dining experience in the heart of Rapid City, South Dakota! I have a tough time finding restaurants that are gluten-free knowledgeable and serve me flavorful meals! We ate there twice during our stay and were pleased both times with the quality of the food and the attentive service. I was pleased, also,... More

We ate here for a second time while passing through Rapid City. We were not disappointed. Although we arrived at 5:45 and they close at 6:00, they still served us. The food was tasty and fresh. Red Pepper soup was very tasty. I recommend the tuna melt. Left with several pastries.

Great food and service. A touch of class for downtown that meets or exceeds what we've seen and enjoyed in travels across the land. We're especially pleased to see that Dakota Thyme has been able to sustain its level of excellence from our first visit in 2012 and again this year. Keep up the fine work! We'll be back.

This is a great restaurant with healthy and tasty food choices. We ordered a bison barley soup that was wonderful. A tad too salty, but rich with wonderful pieces of bison meat. It came with a choice of several salads: we chose the black bean mango salad with a tiny amount of jalapenos. Yum! Pining for dessert, I asked the... More
