Lunch

Stopped in for lunch with a co-worker after hearing how good it was. I couldn't decide if I wanted the Reuben or the Cuban. My co-worker got the Cuban and I got the Reuben and we shared. The Reuben was good. Could have used a little more thousand island (it was a little dry) and a pickle. The... read more

Very slow service. Food was ok. Eggs overcooked in both eggs benedict and duck duck goose. Duck confit was good. Would not go back.

I'm probably going to get a lot of grief for this review. I know so many local's love Tally's but I have to admit I'm not one of them. We went for a graduation dinner with just a few friends. The waiter was not only rude but he had zero sense of humor. He was like a cold dead fish.... More

My husband and I first moved here 2 years ago and have Tally's a shot. Instant satisfaction with the staff, location, atmosphere and of course the FOOD. The prices are on point too. You should totally check out the breakfast but even better is their dinner menu option that's a 3 course meal that the Chef randomly prepares and makes... More

Tuesday night is their pork special. Tonight we had a great pork tenderloin crusted in pecan crust with a sweet potato hash comprised of sweet potato, peaches, and bacon. Came with a side of crisp green beans, a salad and a glass of wine all for just $28. Only disappointment was the desert we ordered which was the Whisky Jar... More

Good breakfast and service out on the shady sidewalk on a hot August morning across from the Alex Johnson Hotel. Diverse menu.

We had a great breakfast at Tally's. I didn't expect to find good green chili in South Dakota, but the breakfast burrito was surprisingly good. We wanted to try the biscuits and gravy, but the waiter forgot to place the order, so we can't comment on that - again something hard to find in northern locations.

Finally made it back for lunch here and dang! Chicken dumpling soup was awesome to start; the pepper peach turkey sandwich had a good flavor but was pretty dry. Sweet potato fries are out of this world with magical bacon butter for dipping. My friend had the cinnamon French toast which was beyond delicious. Can't wait to try dinner!

Food was good with a lot of healthy options. And they have an excellent choice of wine. We enjoyed the outside seating. The menu has a good variety to chose from and includes everything from hamburger to pasta to elk steak. Service was great and our server offered suggestions that proved to be excellent. We enjoyed our dining experience and... More

Tally's was recommended to us by a waitress at a nearby restaurant that we also enjoyed. My husband and I decided to share 2 different salads and an appetizer--creating a tapas meal experience. It was truly wonderful. The wine we had was the perfect complete to our eclectic dinner. Our waiter was totally into our choice of menu selections and... More
