Good food

The service was pretty slow but the food was good. I guess being that it was Mother's Day and we had just a couple hours earlier had been told to find shelter due to a tornado headed to Mitchell, (but it missed us) there could have been extenuating circumstances causing the slower service.

Restaurant is open 24 hours, large portions and good food. I had the house club sandwich and fries and my husband had the grilled chicken salad. Lexis was our waitress, friendly and stopped by often - even tho the place was fairly full. Prices are really good. Restaurant is clean. No complaints at all, will come back anytime we are... More

We stopped for breakfast & as we contemplated leaving because we weren't being seated...then we were. They were out of breakfast caramel roles, so I ordered full on eggs bacon, hashbrowns. ( cuz hubby did) When it finally came, it looked so good. Eggs were over done & hash browns looked so crispy & good....but had been fried in oil... More

This was convenient and suggested by the motel clerk. My wife had salmon, her favorite dinner meal. But it was not worth much at all. She did not finish half of it before giving up and leaving the rest; the maple glazing was no help for it. Her potato was barely warm, and the broccoli was mostly stems. Then she... More

Had a WONDERFUL meal again at Marlin's--so tasty, Generous portions, REAL onions in "rings"-&done perfectly says "hubby", and fast & very "comfortably" friendly staff--expertly co-ordinated by a smiling, encouraging "Julia" -thanks to you all!--and so reasonably priced! They have specials each night--tonight--Mon.- is "1/2 OFF ALL Burgers"--and great variety (&hefty 1/3 w/great "trimmings" with choice of fries, soup, or salad--or... More

Service was very slow. Slow to take my order and it took forever to get the turkey plate. The turkey was the pressed type and just ok. The salad bar was only fair.

Been here many times over the last several years. They serve you with a SHOVEL, I swear! Portions are huge! Food quality is usually quite good. I mostly get there late nights, and the food is still excellent. Original owner is now passed away, but they kept his outstanding collection of automotive antiques on display, so that's nice to see... More

My daughter and I stayed at the Days Inn across the street, so Marlins was a quick walk ... and, it was recommended by the desk clerk for having the most choices. Although the restaurant served a number of different dishes to accommodate most anyone, the food was nothing more than average. If you are hungry and simply need a... More

Traveling on I90 through SD doesn't offer that many towns/cities with choices to dine. Mitchell exits offer several including chains and locally owned. We decided to try Marlins and were very glad we did. My husband chose the country fried steak dinner and I had the club sandwich with a salad. My husband was impressed with the quantity and the...
