The wait staff was very friendly and helpful with activities in the area. Food was OK, we ate dinner there and it was so nice to have a salad bar and some vegetables! We didn't find that at a lot of the other restaurants in the area. Nice, quaint little place on the main strip of Hill City.

Don't be put off by the appearance from the outside. The food is good and there is a nice salad bar. It was clear that lots of locals ate here. We had the night's special (ribs) which were "all you good eat" for $10. What a bargain and tasty, too.

Stopped in for breakfast - found a huge buffet with plenty of sinful with bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast, & 3 kinds of scrambled eggs... but turn around and there's the saint side too with a wonderful selection of fresh fruits to choose from and all the other breakfast staples. We will return. Friendly and helpful staff topped off a... More

While driving from Deadwood to Boulder, Colorado, we decided to stop for breakfast in Hill City. The café came into view and looked appealing. A very good choice! Our waitress, Jade, was friendly and quite adept at her job. She handled her assigned section of the breakfast crowd with ease. The dear girl appeared to be everywhere at once without... More

We had the steak and shrimp special. Very value oriented and tasty. Order the steak medium for best experience. Shrimp prawn size and cooked golden instead of the dark brown one usually gets. Compliments to the staff!

We were looking for a quick bite to eat during some downtime. Made the worst "dining" mistake of the trip. Extremely overpriced considering it was one adult meal, two kids meals and one piece of pie. Cleanliness terrible. Service slow. Food quality abysmal. A restaurant that in my estimation survives by tricking the occasional unsuspecting tourist.

The food was good but over priced. The chicken wings are not, but they are chicken chunks. Club sandwich was great! Don't worry about clean since the place isn't and neither are the staff. Waited to sit down and was over looked for 15 minutes. Not again.

We were in Hill City 3 years ago and ate Breakfast almost every day here. It was that good. Now, we are staying in Custer and disappointed with everything there, so we drove over hoping our favorite spot was still there and it was. We got our breakfast and loved it. The service was good, the people were nice and... More

Buffett looked tired so we ordered from the menu. Food was okay and service was excellent. Enjoyed some of the locals that we met. Portions were more than enough and it was a satisfying event!

Nice waitstaff. Attentive to our time limitation (had to board the 1880 train on time for our round trip tour). Good fries, pulled pork was a bit heavy on the BBQ sauce, but overall good. If you're looking for a 'greasy spoon,' small town diner, this is it. Nicely priced in a tourist town.
