Good old home town local diner feel

This was an adequate place to eat. They have daily specials which are ok. I had chicken fried steak and there was a lot to eat. Nice staff, but nothing outstanding.

For a small café, their breakfast was very expensive. One egg was about $4. The waitress wasn't the friendliest, but she was very busy that morning. I would personally skip eating here and go someplace different for breakfast.

Stayed in Hill City 3 nights. Had breakfast here 3 times. Service very good-very friendly, waitress remembered our orders after 1 meal. We are early risers-early to breakfast-saw the same group of 6-10 people each morning-on the third morning they identified my and I as regulars-now part of their group- and we talked for about 30 minutes-very friendly.

The food was very good and the staff was friendly. We got our food in good time, but it was a bit pricy. We paid more for breakfast, which was nothing fancy, then we did for dinner later that day at Crazy Horse!

Best chicken quesadillas I've ever had! Amazing service, wonderfully kind and attentive staff. Food was delicious and reasonably priced - I wish there were a cafe this good in my home town!

Nothing says breakfast like a fluffy, plate-sized pancake with melted butter and syrup! You'll find that and all the other goodies: short stack, biscuits and gravy, French toast, omlets and eggs and hashbrowns. The main dining room was remodeled a year ago and looks great. Enjoyed the historical photos of the area. Prices are reasonable, waitress kept the coffee topped... More

Stopped in for breakfast, spouse has a breakfast burrito with hash browns it was very good and more than she could eat. I had toast with couple of eggs which was cooked as ordered and very good. They were busy but servers did a good job of taking care of everyone. Did not try but they have monster size rolls.... More

Stumbled by the front window and read "All You Can Eat Catfish" and we were sold. We then found out they also had a steak and shrimp platter, so we ordered both. Little did we know we would be eating Surf & Turf for dinner that evening and at a very reasonable price. The service was truly with a smile... More

Came here for lunch while on vacation in the Black Hills. We visited in the off season, so not many places were open, so had little to choose from. Tried it because of the many positive reviews. Wish we hadn't! It was during the week, so it wasn't very busy at lunch time. We took a table in the back... More

Great food at a reasonable price! We each had the steak and shrimp special on a Sunday. Good food, great service and busy place. One of two places open in town on that day in December! Would definitely come back to this gem!
