A favorite stop for years when traveling in the "Hills". Great service, always excellent soups and sandwiches. Be sure to try the "Rueben!" and the "Creme' Brule.

This place is known for its steak/prime rib. There are 2 sizes to chose from. There is also a vegetarian dish. There are 3 pages of deserts. Food is inexpensive and quality good

Many others have already explained the menu so I will ship that part. We waited 45min for our table around 7pm on a Wednesday night. It really wasn't so bad. It was nice to sit on the front porch with one of their many beer choices enjoying the view of the town. We had our two boys with us (ages... More

We decided to eat at the Alpine Inn based on the recommendation of a friend. We were told to arrive on time, because dinner seats at 5:00 and you can't make reservations. We arrived at 4:30, and there were already people waiting. At 5:00, there was a pretty long line. We actually ended up being the first people on the... More

They have a variety of German lunch items on their lunch menu. Wonderful steaks in the evening. The desserts are to die for. Their service is always fast and accommodating. Building is a classic with a great history. Prices are amazing for a tourist place.

Good food. Good waitress. Food is delivered very quickly. Only 2 main courses. The large selection of desserts was the highlight. Rude cashier. Probably won't go back.

My husband and I had dinner here. We arrived around 4:45 p.m. so we only had a 15 minute wait. The food was good but not great. The meal consisted of a wedge of lettuce smothered in ranch dressing, a baked potato, Texas toast, and a 6 or 9 oz filet. The salad was over-dressed and the steak was over... More

This restaurant was a real find! The reasonably priced lunch menu is part German and part eclectic. They have a unique approach to dinner--the only thing on the menu is prime rib in two serving sizes, priced very reasonably, and cooked perfectly to order. They were packed for both lunch and dinner when we ate there. Show up early for... More

You got to go here if in the Black Hills. Steak is great, but he deserts are a must and well worth the trip to HillCity! You will wait on most days, but relax and enjoy the journey.

My girlfriend and I chose to stop here after we saw an ad stating they 6 or 8 oz steak tenderloin dinner for $11 and $13. We ended up waiting about 45 minutes at the bar. The bartender was fantastic and very friendly. She introduced me to various local wines. After our time at the bar, we were seated in... More
