I have not had the opportunity to stay at this cute and historic inn but my husband and I traveled to South Dakota in December 2014 and we decided to give the food a try. We were impressed the first night and kept coming back for an evening meal or for lunch. No matter what time of day, it was... More

This place is awesome. Their only selection on Saturday night is two different sizes of bacon wrapped filet. I had the 6 oz which came with a cabbage wedge salad, baked potato & toast for $9.95, are you kidding me? And their desserts are to die for!

Ate here for dinner and ordered the 6 oz filet. Atmosphere is pleasing and intimate. The food was fuss-free and delicious. They only have 1 menu and that consist of choosing either a 6oz or 9oz filet. If you go, you must get dessert. The Napoleon is wonderful and they are known for their bread pudding. Both desserts are sure... More

Stopped here for lunch after Mt Rushmore, everyone enjoyed their food and the prices were the best we've seen in the area. We called ahead for our group of 11 so we could get on the list; we had a bit of a wait and the woman in the bar was really friendly and helpful; we enjoyed our drinks while... More

Beautifully decorated restaurant. For lunch they have a great menu of German food and nights they serve filet mignon. Excellent meal at any time! Always wonderful friendly service. As stated by other reviewers, they are always pretty busy But it is well worth the wait. Keep in mind they do not take credit cards, however there is an ATM in... More

After four years of hearing raves about this restaurant we finally went and loved it! If you want variety then DON'T go here! But if you want an affordable steak dinner in an elegant bed & breakfast type setting then this is the place. Dinner is limited to 2 sizes of filet mignon or a vegetarian pasta dish, but the... Over the years that I have eaten at this restaurant I have found it to be the top place for Fillet Mignon in the Black Hills. The service is always outstanding and this coupled with the German desserts make for a memorable dining experience. I recommend this establishment in Hill City to all who are coming to the Black Hills... More

One piece of advice... Get here early! This place is crazy busy on Friday and Saturday nights. They open at 5:00pm, if you want to eat before 7:00 I would say get here at 4:30 and have a drink at the bar (they DO NOT take reservations). The menu is very limited for entrées: 6 oz. filet mignon, 9 oz.... More
