Beer Cheese soup - very good, German sweet red wine - outstanding, prime rib - good - little grizzly, service slow - by the time the last two in a group of 20 were served the first two were done eating. There were reservations however it did not seem the staff prepared appropriately.

On my first visit I ordered a Filet Mignon but it came cut in two ? The accompanying vegetables were steamed but some hardly cooked at all, simply raw. On the secong visit four days later both my wife and I ordered the house speciality, prime rib. We both ordered it medium-well. My wife's was rare and very fatty whereas... More

We had the prime rib and chicken on two different nights-both really nice. The wait staff is very warm and professional and their timing was great. The restaurant was recommended by the B and B we stayed at and it was a very nice surprise. About ten minutes outside Hill City and well worth the drive! We'll be back.

Service and the food was magnificent. This restaurant is beautifully decorated. The prime rib melted in my mouth and the sides were also prepared to match the meat!

Food is consistently excellent. Steaks are cook perfect, soups are homemade (try their beer cheese soup) and the portions are right in line for what you'd expect. Haven't seen their kids menu for a while, but last I knew it was a bit high for feeding young'uns. Ideal place for a family gathering or a quiet dinner with someone special.... More

The campground led you to believe that you were on the lake. YOU ARE NOT!!!!!!!!!!!! Our boat rental was also a bust. The Livewell did not work and the boat had a quirk that would not start if you happened to turn it off. Management did nothing to compensate us.

We're not sure how to respond to this one other than to point out that our website clearly states the RV park and all but 1 cabin are not directly on the lake. There are no other parks with full hookups closer to the lake, and to be on the lake you'll have to dry camp in the National Forest... More

After a long day of driving, it was very nice to sit down to a very good meal in what appears to be a spot favored by the locals. Very good food and service at a reasonable price. Ate there two evenings in a row and enjoyed both meals.

Our hosts at Coyote Blues Village B&B recommended this nearby restaurant. Our experience was so satisfying we ate there 2 nights out of 5. The prime rib was outstanding and perfectly cooked to order. Both evenings we were there it was crowded with not only tourists like ourselves but also with many locals, always a good sign. I was surprised... More

Our Bed and Breakfast host recommended this Inn to us for dinner and it was very very good. Service was beyond good, it was superb. The food was good but the baked potatoes were pretty small and overdone. We each had a drink, they were fine. The strawberry cheesecake was absolutely the best. Nice place that is off the beaten... We ordered a steak. It was good and tender. The sides were just ok. My husbands potato had two large lumps in it so he was able to eat about half of it. Salads are small. Our waitress was very sweet and helpful.
