Prime Rib is the Ticket

The Prime rib is as good as advertised. Well prepared and a large portion. Service was good and it is a good place to enjoy an evening meal!

Great service, food was excellent. We ate there every night of our stay! It was just up the road from our B & B, and Lake Pactola.

Four of us ate at Horse Creek three times during our stay at Summer Creek Inn. It was very close by, so it was convenient after a full day of sight seeing. During two out of our three visits, the service was great. The special, a surf and turf kabob, was very good. I had fish twice, both times it... More

Was very disappointed with Campground. We have a 41ft camper. Checking in took place at the restaurant and the lady checking me did not really know what was going on. We had reserved RVUP3 and the campsite was very tight. We asked about the 2 open RV sites on the lower campground next to the cabins that our family was... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. As you know, we've had a very wet spring here in the Black Hills. All that moisture has made the two lower campground RV spaces you mentioned unusable. You may have noticed the mud in one of them. There was another reservation scheduled into one of those spaces during your... More

After receiving local recommendations, our family of 8 decided to make reservations at the Horse Creek Inn in Hill City on Saturday night to celebrate the end of our family vacation together. What a great restaurant! It was smaller lodge-type place that was nicely decorated. The food was outstanding, including the filet mignon and the prime rib. Our waitress was... More

We ate there two nights in a row while staying at the Summer Creek Inn. Service is excellent and food is good. The first night we had the k-bobs, which were tasty (but we should have split since two k-bobs come with the meal). The meat on the k-bobs could have been a little more tender. The next night we... Four of us ate here and enjoyed it so much we went back again the next night. We all had steaks the first night and the filet and ribeye were juicy and tasty. The second night one ate the trout and the other ate broasted chicken. Excellent! The service was excellent.

My spouse and I first went to this restaurant about three years ago. We enjoyed the spinach dip with bread. We enjoyed ourselves so much we went back a few months later. Food was okay, but still loved the dip. I wanted to share this place with my parents, so last year we went there to eat. We got there... More

My husband and I chose to make the short drive to Horse Creek for our 26th anniversary dinner last night. We were seated right away, next to a table of 16 I sat and listened to them complain about absolutely everything. Noodles weren't hot enough, the kids didn't like the taste of their pasta, grilled cheese was too dark, there... More

Thank you so much for the kind words. Our staff really appreciates it. We know we can never make everyone 100% satisfied 100% of the time, but we set that as our goal. We look forward to seeing you again in the near future. More
