The prices are a bit higher than we expected but not horrible. We had prime rib sandwiches & buffalo burgers. The sandwiches were very tasty but not real large quantities. The potato salad was fine. The buffalo burgers came loaded & a good size patty & fries were good. Loved all the antiques & the story of the place. Quite... More

Horrible service and mediocre food. Went in for a beer and some apps with my family. 50 minutes later the food came out. All we got were onion rings, cheese curds, chicken wings...they kept saying they were "slammed" but one waitress was able to sit at the bar and eat a burger. What a waste of money.

Was not certain what to expect as just after we were seated the table next to us left and informed us that they had waited 20 minutes and had not been greeted by a server. The server greeted us in about 5 minutes which is a bit slow but still reasonable. The food was average although the fried shrimp -... More

Rustic-style establishment in an old mining-related building. The building is nicely restored in and out with a quaint dining room and a bar-style eating area. Authentic to the area history. The service was very good and the food was excellent. Prices were in keeping with a tourist area like Mt. Rushmore.

My husband and I went with a group of 11 friends that we were all vacationing with. Our waitress seemed new but very sweet and apologetic for kitchen mistakes. Everyone including the manager was very nice. My husband had the walleye which he loved. I had the ribs and they were absolutely amazing! I can honestly say for st.louis style... More

The food was good. I had the deep fried shrimp. They were very large. The breading was good. They were not greasy at all. The bleu cheese dressing and the soup were very good as well. Service could have been a little more attentive, although there was only one server on dirty.

We also end up here after finding other restaurant had stopped serving or were only serving fillet Mignon. We were a bit dubious as it was dark and there were only 4 cars in the car park one of which was an old Cadillac or Lincoln in the middle with a standing lamp stuck out the back window with a... After finding a half dozen other places closed, like Alpine Inn and all the other better rated places, we decided to try Chute Roosters. It was quiet and the food was okay but a bit spendy for what we got. $25.00 for a burger, chicken sandwich, and a beer. Nice that it was open on a Sunday afternoon though.

My husband and I stopped in for the Breakfast Buffet advertised on their billboard. What a joke! They had fruit out that looked old, plain old eggs, a few strips of bacon, hard overcooked potatoes, and chicken with gravy sauce (for breakfast)! Needless to say we didn't overeat - which can easily be done at a buffet. We were seated... More
