At dinner. Started with potato skins. Probably should have stopped there. They were huge. Good food. Average prices.

We left the Ramada in Rapid City because the food was so bad and headed here for breakfast. I had eaten here about 4 years ago and it was excellent. I ordered scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and pancakes. It was the Slate Creek Grille Special for about $6.99 and it was very good. The waitress was excellent and even... More

Spent three days in the area and this was our go to breakfast choice. All the usual breakfast fare, nicely done, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

We sat for an hour as we watched folk that came in half an hour after we ordered our food, get their food, finish and leave. Never received our order and we left, hungry. Very disappointing.

After a horrible start at Mangy Moose, we decided to stick with a local recommendation and went down the street to Slate Creek Grill. It was a good decision. The food was very good. Husband was not a big fan of the steamed green beans, but I didn't mind them. The desserts looked very, very good, but we were so... More

Put in an order to go. We ordered a bacon Cheeseburger (no fries or such) for my husband and a chef salad for myself..... The cheeseburger was SEVERELY overcooked (hockey puck) my husband did not even finish it as it was too tough to chew. My chef salad consisted of lettuce, small amount of shredded cheese, 1 cucumber slice and... More

Went here three times in one week, while on vacation, every time the service was terrible. After getting our food, our waitress never came back each time. She could be seen walking around, sitting, folding silverware, or chatting with other members of the staff. Luckily, the buffalo/elk burgers were really great, otherwise we would not have returned after the first... More

The dinner consisted of meat and potato, it was a large portion of meat. No rolls or veggies. My husband had the buffalo burger and fries. It was undercooked.

The food was yummy but the restaurant was very dirty and the staff seemed angry. The hostess greeted us with "how many, sit wherever." She then proceeded to slam doors into other staffs' faces and seemed inconvenienced by customers. Prices high for the experience. The cleanliness of the restaurant made me concerned for the cleanliness of our dishes. When we... More

Several of us ate supper and breakfast here last weekend. Salads were pretty average but the onion rings seemed very fresh-perhaps not frozen-great fried crust and moist onion rings inside. Breakfast was very good all-around. Bacon was on the crispy side but tasty. Coffee was ok-above average but not a really strong roast. Service was excellent both visits! Very friendly... More
